It's tempting though! |

When getting the underground to Expo, I was in my costume. I heard a parent say to his little girl "Oh who's that?" (the girl had been staring) The girl replied "It's Dawn!" Made my day c: Though not as much as when a little kid asked me if I was a real princess in Starbucks while dressed as Zelda :' I totally get that! It's always cute when a kid understands/thinks they understand cosplays. It's adorable. One time, I was on the metro on the way to Otakon with my friends (Me=America, Friend#1=Japan, Friend#2=Hungary,Friend#3=Belarus) and these, maybe eight year old kids were whispering to their mom and pointing at us. After a bit, she and the kids came up to us. The little girl asked 'Can I have a picture with America and Hungary?'. It was soooooooooo cute!! They kept taking pictures with us until we had to get off. Anyways, I wear cosplay to places all the time. I get the weird looks alot, but it's always fun to ind that one person in the whole place that says 'Omigosh! It's America and Japan!'. So, just go out in cosplay if you're comfortable with it. __________________ "Don't Just Dream It, Be It!" |

I may take my Baccano cosplay out once because it would just look like I'm in 1930's clothes. Probably when going out with my Grandad because he still dresses like that. |

I was very.....bright yellow XD Oh man the looks XDDD Brilliant Idea! if only we had more cosplayers are Anime society might still be going =/ I traveled to Leeds Thought Bubble in my Kamina cosplay, but all I did was wear the trousers and put a fleece over my body and left my cape on another chair. When I got to the station their where two other people in cosplay hanging around so I went to join them and within an hour their where at least 40 cosplayers hanging around Leeds train station. Their where a lot of stairs by passing commuters, but one old lady had the confidence to come up and politely ask what we where doing, she made me laugh thou when she asked if I was meant to be dressed as the devil which made me laugh, don't blame her after seeing the burning skull I had painted on the back of my cape. |

Walking to the pub with a bright blue wig got a lot of odd looks~ __________________ http://hoshi-kagami.deviantart.com A slender flame burns at the edge of my heart Without warning, it spreads into a burning passion |

True it's fairly big but still... I guess the success of the last con has proved you can cosplay in town and be ok. |

The worst experience I've ever had was probably whenI got to laugh at some chavettes that were having a go at me and my friends, we weren't even in cosplay, we just werent dressed like chavs. They threw money at us (no, seriously) and then got escorted out of Meadowhall by the security guards. We just made fun of them really. |

Tho just having a funky wig on can be quite amusing for u and others around u. I love taking my Franky wig out and about when I go to London. You might be suprised with what feedback you get. __________________ We give thanks to this tasy meal. |

I have and most likely will cosplay out in public for a long time. It is a very fun thing to do. Cosplaying is my hobby; one I love. Why should I not show it off? Probably my worst memory of cosplaying in public would be when an old man was trying to be 'ninja' and took a picture of me with his phone. At first I had no idea he was, that was before I head the 'Say cheese!' from the phone. Not that I mind him taking pictures; but having been asked for one would of been nice. He caught me when I was talking to my friend, so I was making a 'derp' face as I tried to mimic a guy from an anime. One of the best moments would be when I went into a gas station with some friends for drinks and snacks. The lady there kept staring at us, so it made us laugh naturally. Since we do find it normal to be stared at, but it still makes us giggle at times. (For I would stare also. xD ) Well when we went up to pay, she was all smiles when she asked; "Can I have a picture? I want to show my kids what kind of customers I get.". She was such a good sport. :'D The lady even asked us where our characters where from and such. She did not know much what we were talking about, but she showed interest. Having kids run up to me and talk to me is also a fun part in cosplaying. Epically if you do one from Disney, or something kids know; since they act like you a movie star, or something. xD Last edited by nyappyPOCKY (18 Apr 2011 - 07:11) |

The only negative thing I've ever heard was when I was on the bus dressed as Alice in Wonderland and some chavs (again) said loudly "someone call the fashion police!" |

It took me a minute to realise why. ^^ The other time I was in casual Rokudo cosplay as I was trying to get used to the contact lens when we went to KFC. The woman kept staring until she asked about it. Oddly enough we got freshly cooked food :3 __________________ [/url] |

Bad, Doing Ouran High group in Manchester (I was Mori) some chav said something to me in passing, reallllly wanted to punch him....but that would have messed up our day XD. Another time We had a suit up day with our Pandora Hearts groups again in manc, it went pretty well, until later on when u had stupid drunkards asking to try wigs on or to join in a photo shoot.....or randomly mooning us (If I remember correctly XD) Good, My Jubei from Ninja scroll at midlands expo, I seemed to be the only one in cosplay in the shopping area lol...I got weird looks, Also went in their with my full Albert Wesker from Resi 1....secuirty gave me such looks but I only needed the cash machine XD. And last time I was doing Gilbert Nightray art booker variant (PH again)Randomly met ppl from the expo inside but then kept getting stopped by ppl, some chavs with stupid comments, but one thing made me laugh, I asked at the info desk for some help and the woman said 'OH! U didnt have to dress up for me!' That made me laugh so much XD But At meets and cons its usually been taken well, theres always chavs who will take the piss out of anyone they see as being differnt, or hell even wearing last yrs football t-shirt etc, they really dont need much excuse to be stupid XD __________________ Yeahhhhhh......Where did my old account go XD....with like one cosplay of Resi 1 wesker XD |

but it tends to be. greater distance from house more abnormal the outfit. so taking a nurse variant of beyond birthday when i take a trip to meet long distance friends. story to tell. i once took a neko outfit to lazer quest. i would recomend doing this to all. my ears and tail glowed in UV light. __________________ I predict that the world will end at half past six. what i don't know is exactly when. |
