Yes, the question's a bit short notice seeing as it's in two days. x)

I'm pretty much going entirely to raid the stalls and play pokemon, so I'm not sure if I'm going to be cosplaying but...hey, doesn't hurt to see if anyone else is going to poke around Derby for a few hours!

and going as magnet len to the ball with a vocaloid group loves to my rin and miku!

I'm just going to be there on the saturday, most probably in my Fate/Stay Saber dress.
I'm organising the cosplay events and am on the lolita pannel so I'm going to be busy.

Just a note about the cosplay events,
this effects both the masquerade and contest.

there has been a problem with the forms, so we only actualy have the forms for some of the entries, it will be anounced on the day whos we have.

so if you have entered you may need to sign up again on the day if we don't have your form,
if we do have your entry you will need to sign in with me anyway to confirm your entry and get your number.

There will be only 20 places for each event and sign up will close at least half an hour before the start so you will need to be quick.

Has anyone ever had any problems walking through derby in cosplay? i've been considering using kakashi or Ed elric if i don't finish suzaku or hibari on sunday

I've never actually cosplayed in Derby, but my experience in living nearby is that there's a possibility you'll wander into people who'll throw offensive remarks around if you're wearing something really outlandish (like there are in every city, really). You might get some nasty comments if you cross paths with people who like harrassing "freaks", but nothing will come of it if you just ignore them!

it depends really, me and some friends cosplayed down there one day last week and it was ok though we got some funny looks n waves off random people... bt then there were a couple o us, so if ur with people id say ud be fine! if not just act confident, its what i usually do!

There's a big festival going on in the city center at the moment, so you are more likely to be asked if you are part of it rarther than asked why you are dressed up.

Otherwise when I've gone into the center in costume (and regularly in lolita and goth) I have had people looking at me funny, the odd stupid remark yelled but no problems.
