I'm in my last year of 6th form and have to do some coursework for one of my subjects- Communication and culture. I thought it would be great to do my essay and video pieces on cosplay, and more precisely in the UK to show an insider view on this growing culture.

My question is would anyone be interested in having any pictures of their costumes included in my work (essay), and maybe be interviewed on their opinions and why etc? (In either video or essay) I plan to be at October Expo hopefully as the King of Sorrow from Klonoa 2 if you want to find me and have a say.

Just so you are aware the title I have to use is 'Celebrity: Fan subculture' I hope this helps to understand the angle I have to come from.

If there are any particular photo's you'd like to be used either on here; saved somewhere else; or would rather I take a photo of you're Expo costume (or if you just want to offer up your say instead) PM me with details like:
1) Name or cosplay name: (optional)
2) Costume(s) you would like to share
3) Whether you'd like to be interviewed
4) Whether you'd like to be videod while interviewed
5) Whether you'd like to be in the essay, video or both
6) What I should look out for at Kita on any of the days
7) What you'd like to be credited as/referenced as eg. websites

The Title has been changed to celebrity: Fan subculture as it seemed more appropriate for cosplay. (can't remember full title but it's about reasons behind why people cosplay)

By recommendation of my teacher, I plan to change my title/aim to something more focused on the fan culture of cosplay. This should make it easier to discuss and cast a better light on us as a community. I'm still open for any more people who'll be interested; as they say 'the more the merrier'

If you don't mind an older cosplayer (well, not that much older I'm 23), then I'm more then happy to be interviewed. I'll be General Beatrix from Final Fantasy IX at expo.

On a side note, I did course work (and indepedant study for uni) on cosplay. If you want or need secondary sources that I can send it over and you can look at the bibliogrpahy.

What day is this happening? as my cosplay is different on sat and sun ^^

Should have posted on this much sooner, but thank you everyone who agreed to be interviewed, and sorry to those I didn't get to. I left my camera at the hotel and realised much too late so only managed a couple of people on the Sunday of Expo.

Due to this I thought it would be nice to try get more interviews done at the next event I'm going to that falls before my deadline- Kitacon.
If anyone going is interested (or are one of the people I missed at Expo that are still interested) I'd appreciate every response from new and long time cosplayers. I already have one person attending Kita who may be willing, but if you'd like to can you either PM me or post on here.
