I bought some base black boots, but I just have no idea what would be the best way to make all the white and grey bits. I thought of using like, PVC or pleather, but it wouldnt bbe thick enough or anything. I could pad it but I was just hoping there was an alternative~

You could also try leatherette Its a lot thicker than pleather and looks just like leather (with the grain and stuff) Other than that...i don't really know what else you could use, theres nothing else really out there that would give it the leather look. __________________ i'll tear down the sky if it'll save her |

Thats all i've got, sorry. Good luck though. __________________ i'll tear down the sky if it'll save her |

You could also bulk it up a little by having a layer of upholstery foam underneath the showing side of fabric, not too much so it looks obvious but enough to give the dimension you need |

At least, that's what I did for Kuja's boot panel things, and it worked really quite well. __________________ It must not be denied but I am a plain dealing villain. |

Here's a good tutorial for painting things to look more metal-like: http://risachantag.deviantart.com/art/Cosplay-Metal-Texture-Tutorial-44652823
You could also make the shapes you need out of craft-foam, then cover them with pleather/leathette as people have suggested. Good luck |
