I remember going to see it with my mum and friend!!! we cried at the ash-turning-to-stone bit (actually I think it was pikachu that choked me up more) T___T then went to Burger King afterwards and they were doing some pokemon promotional thing lol.

I think our cinema was if you went, you'd get a Mew card but I never got mine because we couldn't see where they were giving them out. I was so dissapointed

I remember that! XD You got a metalic plated Mew from a PokeBall at BK, I can't remember if I got my Mew card when I brought the tickets or not. i just wished lil pre-teen me was into Cosplay back then. I would have gone as a member of Team Rocket XD

XDD good times back then, good times! I can't help but look at kids shows nowadays and think how much they suck in comparison to the ones I had as a kid x33!

Oh man don't even get me started on the old 1999-2001 pokemon era, I still rock my GBC on the bus with Pokemon Gold I'm like stuck in a permenant timewarp from back then XD

I still play pokemon though =D And watch it and EVERYTHING. Don't get me started on pokemon seriously XD

PRO YOs!! OMG they were huge, they were like standard yo-yo kinda things but like, everyone was obsessed with them and stuff and people were doing crazy tricks and smashing stuff by accident and school banned them because they were getting stolen and stuff XD

I remember when everyone had a 3310 with a replacable facia and the colour tinted screencovers. Mine was a sparkly dragon thing. Think my dad still has my old working one... It had the Billy Hatcher theme as the ringtone. Awesome times. XD
Speaking of movies, Digimon was the epic experience for me. Cinema + Loud Speakers + Digimon theme + 11 year old = Woooooooaaah maan.

Gutted! I didn't know there was a game! pretty much everyone alive agrees with you about TV though - we were there for the golden age of cartoons.

Throw out a few more I watched - Toxic Crusaders, Swamp Thing, Skeleton Warriors (had the toys/ , Cowboys of Moo Mesa, Bravestar, Conan the Adventurer, Mighty Max and Earthworm Jim I already said but they deserve more love, street sharks, double dragon, creepy crawlers - love it but it's poo, attack of the killer tomatoes, gargoyles, mighty ducks and battle tech to name a few - yes I watched too many cartoons.


... and I had a pro-yo too necko, I'm there with you. Was shit with it though, could only do walk the dog and ... cradle something - make a triangle and swing it back and forth.... oh and round the world but that's just swinging it round your head.

Music wise it's Guns N' Roses takes me back to be little and Nirvana - highschool everyone loved blink, greenday and offspring but I was in a goth + metal phase at the time.

Although I do remember SMTV, I was brought up on the DJ Kat show and classic cartoons such as Teenage Mutant Ninja (ooops I mean ‘Hero’) Turtles, X-Men, Transformers, Thundercats, He-Man, Bravestaar and many many more.

Kids TV now doesn’t even come close to how good it was in my day! (feeling even older now)

By the time Pokemon was a hit I was watching it at 4am after a night out clubbing!!!

I did have a Pikachu keyring that flashed when it moved. I attached it to my coat zip. The coat is long gone, but I still have the keyring (tho the flash has dieded).

DIGGIT! I remember that! Didn't they have that adorable king charles cavalier dog as the "mascot"? My nan's dog (same breed) used to go mad with happiness when it came on the screen XD

Digimon, Pokemon, Cardcaptors, Yugioh, One Piece, Dragonball Z, Beyblade, Sailor Moon, Animaniacs, Thunder Cats, Visionaries and Dexter's Laboratory. Those were the shows that made up my childhood (though I guess at 14 I'm still mostly a kid XD)
I remember waking up early every Saturday just to watch Yugioh, and turning up the volume really loud when the Beyblade theme came on. Good times~ |D

The shows we watched as kids seem to come up in random nostalia conversations with my friends a lot lol!
I grew up watching all the old superhero cartoons like Spiderman and X-men but I also remember watching a lot of Pingu, Super Ted and Power Rangers!

My sister is 6 years younger than me so I ended up watching a lot of the later generation of cartoons too, like Kim possible and American Dragon (only recently found out that Dante Bosco voices Jake as well as Zuko).

Oh! And there was this strange 3D animated thing about these characters in animal form who transformed into robots and fought others. The good guys included a cheetah I think and I'm pretty sure some of the bad guys were insects. Anyone remember what that was?!

theres so many ^^ i'll try to list a few bravestarr, defenders of the earth, visionaries, ducktales, chip and dale, ghostbusters, galaxy high, he man, thundercats, turtles, beetlejuice that marvel action hour thing, dungoens and dragons, top cat, inspector gadget, real monsters, johnny quest, stop it and tidy up, captain planet, mask and a whole load of others i cant remember right now but im sure i'll look up to watch and see the intros ^^

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who raced home to see Cardcaptors! And animals of Fathing wood was amazing! I dont remember it very well but I had the books and remember watching it all the time.

I also remember anothet animal cartoon based on the Brian Jaques novels...does anyone else remember this?
