RIP Satoshi Kon
I don't mean to bring such sad news on here, but I feel that it needs to be said.

Satoshi Kon, the renowned director of Paprika, Paranoia Agent, Tokyo Godfathers and Millenium Actress among others, passed away on Tuesday, 24th August.


This alone is devastating news, but what totally tipped me over the edge was reading his last message to everyone.

His family posted this on his website and it's been translated here:

I'm still incredibly sad about this. He was too bright a talent to have died so soon.

this is indeed sad news. I loved this guy and all his work. his was some of the first anime i ever watched, and Paranoia Agent, Paprika and Millenium Actress are still some of my fave work in anime. hell, my first cosplay was Lil Slugger from Paranoia Agent!

I have Millenium Actress on DVD, I still haven't watched it >___< I'm going to find it now and watch it and remember this great man as I watch it...
