The reason is simple - this isn't a chat room, you can't make previous posts disappear just by flooding the screen. In fact your flooding it just made it go right to the top of "recent discussions" in the front page so that it's the first thing everybody read the next morning. People have the ability to click to see previous pages and will continue to reply if they have things to say. Besides, shouting until nobody can hear their own voice isn't the best way to ask people to stop talking/talk elsewhere. |
