Once walking round town, dressed as sasuke school uniform with my old friend who was naruto some japanese students walked past and smiled. "Its sasuke and naruto!" i went so red but was proud that people reaconised us.

Another time in waterstones (still as sasuke and naruto) we were in the manga section and people were walking past saying. "did they just fall out of one of those book". lol

At MCM Expo May 2011 I was cosplaying Nurse Joy and sitting around having a rest when this woman from the doctor's conference (can't remember what it was called now XD) came up to me and asked for a photo. I said yes and then she told me 5 or 6 times how much she loved pink...and how much her friends loved pink...and how jealous the were going to be of her. Twas very strange and she had no idea who I was XD

Then about 5 minutes later, still sitting having a break, these guys come over with a translator. They were also from the doctors convention and turns out they were from Tokyo. They're translator told me they thought I was cute and they wanted a picture with me and then she asked questions like what was going on etc The guys had no idea what I was saying...until I said Pokemon. Then they got really excited and started trying to compliment me ending with "Pokemon, I LOVE YOU!" It was really sweet and made my day

It was the international conference of Rheumatology! Numta was Gordon Freeman and I was a headcrab zombie.. We were going to try and gatecrash it, but then realised that even IF we did get in.. It sounded boring!!

Last October expo our group and some other cosplayers were hanging around by the statue on the stairs friday afternoon when a priest started asking us why we were cosplaying and how it fit in with christianity. It was a slightly awkward moment XP

well one time I decided to go out in a misa amane cosplay (the uniform by the way but I had her pigtails for some apparent reason ) and while I was walking some people staring and I was like "maybe I shouldn't have worn this" when someone came up to me and said "are you dressed up as misa?" he didn't know a thing about cosplay but knew loads about the popular anime like death note, naruto etc, it kind of made me happy that someone recognised me :3

Went up for a friend's birthday party on the train dressed as Medusa from Soul Eater, two language teachers (I assume) sat on the other side of the aisle. There was an awkward moment of silence and then the woman asked me 'are you going up for the brighton festival?' So I explained to her and she thought it sounded fun ^^ On the same train about half an hour later, a bunch of german students got on and point blank refused to sit anywhere near me XD

At Alcon this year I was derping around as Umbreon with a Voldemort, Itachi and some Final Fantasy characters (as you do) and spotted a group of chavs, to which I naturally though "oh fuck here comes trouble" and instead they asked for a picture, which probably ended up on Facebook with some sort of snide comment but eh.

Not long after, Twinfools dressed as Link went into a pizza place and an elderly man came over and asked what we were doing and why ROBIN HOOD was walking around.

Also at the Homestuck meet last month about three parents came up to us because their kids wanted to know what we were doing. Most of the children seemed quite scared.

At Expo in May 2010 I was Red Queen from AIW, some of you may remember it was also the year when there was a Kick Boxing Final on as well, amongst other things. It was packed with loads of (quite intimidating) lads going round in groups.
I had parked my car underneath and needed to go back to get something. So in full Queenly regalia I went down and passed a group of these 'lads' - they all started nudging and pointing and one said "Man, that's ugly".

I had a red mist come over me, I spun round and said "At least I can wash my face off - what's your excuse?" I was ready for trouble, I was so angry. (I was toting a rather heavy sceptre made of a curtain pole at the time!) I needed't have bothered - his mates collapsed in hysterics. I made my exit rather smartly!

lol good storys there, i only had "why are u dress like that" or i get stared at, shame that chavs have to ruin the mood nothing safe these days.

Also some people need to get their fact right on the animes too XD

There we were walking along and out of the blue this (other) Naruto cosplayer runs up to my friend and jumps/hugs her and yell at the top of her voice
"DON'T GO SASUKE, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!!!!!!"
I could not stop laughing! my friend was a bit freaked though XD hahahahahah

Mum felt normal in the load of cosplayers there She know NOTHING about manga or anything to do with it and promptly called me and anyone else cosplaying a F.R.E.A.K :O The nerve!

Just got home from a Halloween night at the anime club I attend weekely cosplaying as Yurippe

Went to the pub afterwards (a tradition most of us do so I wasnt the only one cosplaying) and the guy behind the bar noticed I wore a school uniform and made a joke about me (the character) being underaged. Im a regular and he must have recognized me from the many past trips to the pub and got served with no trouble XD

Well on my way to Expo this time as Strider Hiryu, a member of staff at Clapham Junction told I couldn't have my face covered in the station. I got a bit angry about it, as sounded like so much BS. I'm pretty sure he was just singling me out for no good reason.

Well, this is the first time someone says something to me xD. It happened while I was at the bus stop, then a guy from the 2nd floor of the bus yells "Oii, What are you wearing?!" .. I was about to say something but then the bus took off. XDD

I wore my Garterbelt (from Panty and Stocking) costume to a manga night at my local Waterstones. When I left later in the evening I was approached by four very drunk students who wanted me to come clubbing with them. When they finally accepted that I was far too tired to stay out with them, they dropped to their knees and refused to leave until I blessed them.

So I did, and they went off very happy.

Material that has been fashioned into a shape that fits the contours of my body. And youself? lol

Okay I have an adorable story from Expo.
On the Saturday I was dressed as Rapunzel, which was really fun in itself as lots of people said really nice things about my costume ^^
On the train back to where I was staying, ended up sitting opposite some little kids, who happened to be massive Tangled fans. I chatted a lot with two of the kids, but the third was really shy and kept playing on their v-tech thing (I think it's v-tech. Those learning game thingies with the etch-a-sketch on). After a while, the shy kid got my attention and showed me the vtech. On the etch-a-sketch screen, they'd drawn a flashing heart and a picture of me/Rapunzel

I dont tend to go out in cosplay... I mainly do fursuit cosplay and the only time I've actully been in cosplay out of a event is though drake circus to get to warterstones for their re-con type events, and by the time they start the shopping centere is full of cosplayers and empy of normal people witch is really annoying >.<

However one time I went out in a cosplay and this woman came up to me and was like "I diddnt expect to see a rabbit on my way back from the shops today" dispite the fact I was a dog I thougt it was really nice ^^, And sadly le pull of tail and ears by the chavy people...

There were a couple of funny moments for me at the October Expo.
Ichigo-chan and I were taking some shots of my James Sunderland (Silent Hill 2) cosplay at the foot of the stairs which lead from Custom House to the walkway to the ExCel Centre. We were taking shots when it was clear and every now and then had to wait and step to the side as people went up and down the stairs.

A guy went by me looking at my "steel pipe" and said jokingly, "You're not going to hit me with that are you?"
I laughed and said, "It's just kitchen foil tubes" and held up the two parts that I had been holding together (since the glue had unstuck).
He came back down the steps and felt them to realise that they were just cardboard then went away quite amused.

Then a bit later a group of guys went up the stairs and one stayed at the bottom and put his thumbs up asking to have a picture taken with me. Since it was on one of our own cameras and NOT theirs I didn't mind since it would make him go away, so I just played along with it and he ran up to join his mates afterwards going, "Yay! I'm famous!" It was pretty funny XD

I get recognised a lot when doing Yugi. For some reason, people think they're hilarious to shout "YUGIOOOOOOH" or "IT'S TIME TO DUDUDUDUDUEL!" But hey, at least it's better than getting beat up, right?

Not yet done a con, so I have no stories from them. I have done a couple of promotional things for friends in my Stormtrooper armour, and it's amazing the mixed responses you get - one kid posed for a photo with me after saying to his Dad "It's the Stig!".

Some kids - and in fact adults - are terrified when confronted with the dark-eyed faceplate of the helmet and won't come near me for love nor money, whilst others can't get enough.

Worst thing to happen so far was outside our my local HMV, where I was wandering around "promoting" the bluray release. A couple of my friends had come up to see me, and whilst I'm talking to them (freaking one out because of the voice changer) a kid comes over for a photo. Whilst mum is sorting out the camera my friend says the following:

"I'm not a paedophile, and never would be, but if I was then I'd get Stormtrooper armour. No-one would suspect you were a peadophile, and the kids love it"

Fortunately the helmet hid my look of shock, and the mother didn't hear. I then attacked said friend with my blaster for being an idiot!
