Lulu's Wigs: Wig styling and commission service
Lulu's Wigs

Luluscrafts@yahoo.co.uk

27/06/2011: Rose Cosplay has reopened under the new name "Lulu's Wigs" I said I would never reopen but I just couldn't let it stay that way, I love wigs and I wan't to continue doing it. My health has greatly improved and it's time to start fresh!

Wig styling, custom wigs and commission service.

Formerly known as Rose Cosplay and closed down for a while, I have decided to reopen afresh, Under a new name (which doesn't confuse people!) with new terms and conditions.
I have 7 years experience in wig styling and design to date and have worked on over 150 orders.

You can see my past work by visiting the old Facebook Page I had for Rose Cosplay:

I am working on getting a big collage image together of my best work to stick in here so you have something to look at other than wall of text, so for now, please look at the link below.

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.141079959241724.27099.141079619241758

I will attempt to change the name to Lulu's Wigs, if it is not possible, I will remake a page for Lulu's Wigs.

Available slots

Emergency slots before October Expo (get them in FAST!):

Remember people! if you need an emergency wig for October Expo or any time in October, NOW IS THE TIME TO CONTACT ME!

OPEN
OPEN

SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER

OPEN
(I will take them on until I have no more space left. These slots will either be open or closed depending. Only emergency convention slots have a set number that I can do. Even then, it's worth contacting me just in case it's a job I can take on with the workload I have.)

The Important info:

Materials I use:

Hairspray
Hair Glue
Pomade
Silicone Adhesive (Clear Dry)
Leave in conditioner
Water
Hair-dryers, straighteners, curlers
Brushes, Combs etc.
Custom dyes (if required)
Kanekleon, Powerlon, Cypherous wigs (if requested) High Heat resistant fibre
Polystyrene wig heads

I am happy to accommodate most needs but the only thing I will not do is use a low quality wig for a base. The lowest quality I will go is Kanekleon, which isn't a low quality fibre. Please do not expect a wig commission for £20, the base wigs I use will always cost more than £20.

Please also try to remember that every commissioner is doing it to make money so you won't get a commission price that is JUST the materials. If I did that, I would make no money at all.

I appreciate it very much if prospective customers would inform me if they should choose not to commission me. This is just common courtesy and it is something that is expected in the commission community.

Payment:

I accept paypal, personal cheque and postal orders from the UK and Paypal ONLY from anyone outside the UK.

Payment used to be required in 2 stages. Half up front and Half upon receiving images and confirming that you are happy with the quality, then shipped.

That method is still available but I also offer the following:

A deposit of £20 non refundable which is taken off the total of the quote, this is a guarantee that you are serious about the commission and it allows me peace of mind. I will then acquire the materials needed and start the wig.

You can then either pay the rest of the sum upon receipt of images and once you are happy with them, or you can pay in instalments until you pay the total amount.

However, no matter what way you choose to pay, the wig will not be sent to you until the full amount has been paid.

I will always consider proposed payment plans, all you need to do is ask.

Postage:

All postage within the UK is via royal mail 1st class it is set at £5.00 to cover the polystyrene head, box and packaging materials and the cost of postage. If you request tracking, Postage will be more expensive depending on the type of tracking and can be discussed.

At the moment, I cannot Bring wigs to conventions for collection, this is because I do not have my own transport and I am also a cosplayer, which means I have a stupid amount of bags ANYWAY to carry to a convention, so I cannot bring extra boxes with wigs in them to be collected. Once I have my own transport, this service will become available.

Hey, Lulu I was wondering if I could get a quote from you? I was thinking of doing Orihara Izaya, I was just wondering if you could give me a rough idea of how much I'm looking at.

I will warn you though, even if I decide to go through with it i'll probably be waiting until next month to place the order! (Money T_T)

Thanks

Just a reminder - I am taking on 2 emergency slots for October Expo. If you need a wig for expo, drop me a message sooner rather than later. The latest I can start a wig for October Expo is Mid September, that means first payment for the wig down and the order confirmed.

I am open for the rest of the year and should you need wigs for 2012, don't hesitate to contact me.

You know there's a UK-based eBay store already trading under the name Lulu's Wigs? You're not affiliated with them, are you?

Oh fffffffffffffffff

Damn it!

No I did not know and I am not affiliated with them. I either have to change my name or look into if it is permitted to keep the name I have for some reason. Does it matter if they aren't in the UK?

They ARE in the UK.....well sugar.

edit:

Looking at their ebay page...they seem to operate under the name of "tip top wigs ltd" you can see it right at the bottom of the link page you linked. I'll have to contact them and ask wether they are registered as Tip Top Wigs or Lulus Wigs. If not, I should be fine, If it's Lulu Wigs, then I'll have to change the name AGAIN.
