2nd attempt to get this group going as quite a few had to drop out last time due to funds and stuff so here we go again ^^

designs have to be based on the origional princess design but you can fairy them up using some designs from the disney fairys costumes

fairys wings will have the princess theme from the movie

e.g.
Mulan - Fireworks themed wings
Ariel - sea flowers and shells underwater theme

they will also have fairy dust pouches, props* and a wand to finish the look =)

any ideas on the style of outfit or wings yet?

im thinking of having the wings go from purple to blue then green and have stars and shells on them

oh good idea on the wings it sounds lovely ^^, Im going to have the bottom of my wings light pink them having the colour fade out, on the tip of the wings blue and then roses on the wings ^^. As for the outfits i like them how they are in the pictures ^^ simple because, they still very well resemble the princess original outfits and they look so cute lol XD.

With jasmine i'm thinking of having the costume the same as the picture, but make the base of the top the same jagged edge as the skirt ^_~ For the wings i'm probably going to go for some swirls in a similar style to how the smoke is drawn in aladdin ^_~

Well i hope you don't mind Sasashie but i'm gonna put more into my outfit because i think they look a bit too plain Oo I'm gonna keep it so it still resembles the actual dress but i'm gonna add thing to it =] x.

As long as you can tell who you are am happy! i do think they are simple but we have pleanty of ways to jazz them up a bit!

And you know what im like for my beads and embriodery so my Ariel will be mega detailed as my refrence is a plain white dress!! cant have that nope nope lol xx

I was thinking of doing embroidery too =D
Oh and for the wings, i'm not sure yet what i'll be doing but have drawn out lots of ideas, i think i may be going with a rose theme =D

I'm probably going to go with the same design that she's drawn in. It's simple and you can easily tell who she is. Plus I've always wanted to do a version of Mulan!
As for the wings I have no idea. If anyone has any ideas of anything that I could do for the wings that might make them a bit Mulanish then could you tell me?

My friend Eltia is thinking about doing a Fairy Meg for this group. I sent her an email with the design and if she's up for it then hopefully she might post on here or tell me.

I'll probably stick to my reference picture, as Tinkerbell doesn't really need changing much XD but i might add a tiny bit of sparkle or embroidery to make it more interesting XD

@ FusionRose - yeah go for the red rose but try and do a stain glass window effect on them it would look amazing if i was doing Belle thats what i wanted to do

@ Duskatnight - for Mulans wings i would do some Japanese looking clouds and houses like a village or do them red with fireworks!, are you going to do her full makeup? as that would look beautifull! Also woohoo for the Meg let me know when she gets back to you xx

@ Archer - loving those ideas dont forget to put a geanie lamp somwhere as it would look cool

@ Tif9123 - love the simplicity of Aurora was thinking you could have either a bird or as there fairys a lady bug to sit on your finger lolz

@Lolita Hime - you sparkle that tinkerbell! dont for get her fairy dust! you could add some lost things to her wing design tho xx

The Red with Fireworks might work with her costume...
Does it matter what size the wings are or are we trying to stick to the same size as the ones in the art?

i think the red ones with fireworks would work the best!

you can have the wings any size you want as long as you can move around without them getting damaged or poking people in the eyes xx

@ DuskatNight - remeber that we are going on stage so we have to compleatly change the wings if we buy them or make them from scratch xx

I know. I'm going to be changing them anyway. They're just base ones.

no to sure yet on the pattern, as aurora holds a rose when she sleeps and stuff so may still stay with that idea, maybe birds i don't know, What do you think would be the best to make wings, use wire and bend it into shape, then find the netty fabric dress up wings use and go from there, Always wanted to attempt to make a pair of wings ^^ so think im going to go with that =].

well you could even use a pair of tights over the wire base

the trick im finding is to attach them to the costume as i hate the straps on fairy wings as they cut into me so i may just attach them straight to the dress

plenty of sparkle sounds good to me XD im thinking lots of glitter, both body glitter and otherwise then plus small shiny beads and sequins and oooh this is gonna be so much fun...and good idea about the lost things, il see if i can find away to add some cute stuff wasn't sure how close to the original u wanted at first but would deffo be fun to jazz her up xxx

well we need all involved to kinda have the same theme and if we all have jazzed up wings then we will look more of a planned group

i want everyone to enjoy making there costumes and adding there own touch to it xx

Oh i'm definetly going to enjoy making mine ^_^ I just wish i was home, so i could start making it now xD x.

Same, this is gonna be so much fun to make, especially with own touches and interpretations as I'm used to trying to follow references pictures exactly XD xx

Being fairies, Do you think we should all make wands as well? cause i know tinkerbell has one, but she never has it in any of the films she is in, just being curious? XD
