I thought this would amuse some of you as it amused me lots!

For those of you who don't know about these charming people; They are a group (mainly a large family) that could be considered extreme Christians who love to picket at the funerals of dead service men and women claiming that God hates them because they're gay (and he cause the 9/11 also because he hate America).
Now they believe that it is the 'nerds' that will anger God more as we would rather idol cartoon and comic book characters than him ¬¬
I haven't read the bible but something tells me they have seriously misinterpreted it all.
Anywho I would love to hear your thoughts ^^

See, I thought I was lonely in the anime community, being Christain, then I discovered other people like me and I was happy 8D

Just thought I'd put that in. Anyway... I hate those guys 8D It appauls me to think that there people who beleive in the same God as me who are like that. I think what they do is horrible, I was glad that several Christian faith's in the UK clubbed together and banned them from coming over. At least we know they'll never be able protest at Expo or a Convention here.

HA! I would love to see them try protest at expo! Aint no 1st Amendment in this country! Well firstly they would have to apply to protest anyway cos of our stupid protest rules. And we all know how frustrated people can get at expo when it's mega hot and stuffy and cramped... add to that mix, a bunch of 'Christian' hate mongers insulting and demeaning cosplayers. I see some dead American's cluttering London Docklands.

I thought like that too XD though I don't really know very many Christians into anime, it's more that a group of kids in my church youth group insisted on borrowing all my anime DVDs XD
I find that often I think there aren't Christians into anime because the anime community is so negative towards Christianity. There are many times I've felt really hurt by what some of my cosplaying friends have said I've wanted to stand up and leave...not that they deliberatly offend me, but it does hurt when people are so downright nasty about what you hold dear.

Clearly people like this don't help that at all.

I used to think the same way, but actually I think you'll be quite surprised by how many christians are actually in the anime community. I guess it's because it's never really been brought up before because it doesnt really seem that relevant to me? Anyways I totally understand what you mean by feeling a bit hurt or offended by what others have said because i've felt the same way before...tbh the way I dealt with it was to tell them and it didn't happen again in my presence.

Yeah, I guess I wouldn't bring it up in casual conversation, cos you don't just randomly blurt out "and oh btw I'm a Christian =D". I do remember the look on a group of people's faces when I said I had to leave a cosplay meet up early to go to a church meeting. Jaws actually hit the floor XD
My closest friends know what offends me and what I can cope with by just shutting my ears ^^ I think I sometimes bend over too far backwards in not offending them, to the point where some people don't even realise they've annoyed me. XD

I really don't think anyone takes the people at WBC seriously. As can be seen in some pics from a certain place on the web. XD

I'm a christian and I organise cosplay meets, yet alone watch anime! xD Those people are stupid. Just because we 'dress up' as the characters we like, doesn't mean we worship them. Don't see you guys dressed as Jesus...

Different folks different strokes man, just because someone doesn't agree with your point of view doesn't mean that you have to damn them to the worst possible fate you can come up with (and with these guys they haven't got much of an imagination to come up with anything worth reading at the very least).

Tis bad enough with Chavs over here in the UK going to such awesome events like MCM Expo with no other intention but to pick a fight, we don't need some highly strung yanks trying to spoil a good thing as well!
