I'm very excited that there's finally a con close to home, somewhere where I don't have to buy train tickets in advance xD
But I'm even happier that it's in July, meaning I'll be back home from uni (in London). I'm getting the best of both worlds here =p

Living in Stockport i'll be there. The venue is much better than that awful place in Telford. Although most of my friends work in Manchester and don't know I cosplay so will have to make sure I get a hotel close by

Manchester Expo isn't exactly the priority for them, so I doubt there's going to be many major updates. As it's a first time thing for them, they're not going to throw a ton of money into it just on the off chance that it fails or something.

I wouldn't expect much from this. You'll probably get a couple of guests that have been seen a number of times at an MCM event but that's all I'd expect really. There won't be loads of announcements leading up to the event.
