Cosworx
I know that some people here use Cosworx - and that's it's one of the popular wig shops.

Currently, they aren't shipping internationally. This is due to the fact that they are doing a complete site overhaul, and they won't be shipping internationally until then

So I emailed them a couple of days ago to find out if they knew when they might be done by.

They have replied, and said that they were informed that they should be finished by the end of this month.

I'm just putting this up to help settle any of the worries people may have been having from not knowing what was going on and when it was ending etc.

So hope this helps

And sorry if this is in the wrong place ^^; Never been good with categorising lol

As someone who ships internationally, it really isn't that hard to do. It's the exact same post office, you just have to charge people more to cover the costs.

I don't get why shops decide not to do it, it boggles my mind.

I think Cosworx just doesn't want the hassle (no matter how little it is) whilst they tidy up their stock and site. They will be internationally shipping once their done though.

Until I send more things in the UK, I won't be shipping things internationally lol (have a fear it will get lost in the post and be my fault)

Thanks for letting us know! *Has been checking every day.* >_> If it's not open by the end of the month I think i'll buy elsewhere though...kinda getting panicked about it. ._.

Thats true. Back when I ran an ebay shop and when my wig styling service was going I used to ship worldwide and it wasn't an issue. Same post office just more expensive.

I dont mean to start a war here but every time I've used Cosworx I've had big problems with them. First time the items never showed, I recieved no correspondance despite contacting them several times and even trying to PHONE them.
2nd time I was trying to get wonderflex from them because everywhere else diddn't have it in stock. This time everything seemed fine, they took my money, I had a delivery time of around 1-2 weeks which was fine.....4 weeks went by, I'd e-mailed them several times asking what was happening. Again, no response. Until I told them to cancel the order and refund my card, which they did, and then finally told me it was because it wasn't in stock. By this time it was too late.

3rd time I ordered 2 of the same wig, the exact same wig. I just selected 2 of them on their online order form. I recieved, about 4 weeks later might I add. 2 wigs of the same style but completly different shades. It wasn't even as if they were close enough to use together. We are talking opposite ends of the spectrum for that shade of blue. The idea was to use 1 wig as a base and the other as the bulk to create Helga from Trinity Blood. Diddn't happen. I e-mailed them several times to tell them, but no response again.

I dont know, maybe it's just me but I've just never had a good experience with them and never responding to contact from a customer is pretty bad practice if you ask me. Its not like I was sending them 1 e-mail per week or anything. I was at it every day. They're expensive, so if they mess up, it's a pretty big hit in the pocket.

Like I said, this isn't meant as a flame or anything. I'm just putting this out there. You could see it as off topic, but it's better for people to know in my opinion.

The "hassle" is actually a common misconception. Like Tab said, the sending process is exactly the same, and if the item gets lost, the process to deal with it is the same as well.

*boggles*

Exactly, which is why I got so confused and annoyed when experiencing what I had.

Seconding Lulu Rose. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Cosworx- from getting wigs that looked nothing like the product photo, to late parcel arrivals and slow replies from customer services, to getting extortionate customs fee charges because cosworx boxes are marked from a company (which I may point out, has NEVER happened to me when I've bought wigs from ebay sellers)... I swore never to go back there again.

Yeah I'll agree there. Every time i've ordered from them i've gotten custom charges D: I just can't find anywhere else to order the punky and punky xl from. D:

Custom charges are annoying, but that is the fault of HMRC, not cosworx. Most ebay stores mark their wigs as a gift which is technically illegal, which is why it's rare to get custom charges from them.

You can go to Katie Bair's wigs and order wigs from her. She orders from amphigory.com which has the punky wig + XL on, I got my Grimmjow Pantera wig from her.

It's kinda slow because she orders from them, they deliver to her and then she ships it to you, I found it cheaper than cosworx, their shipping prices are mahoosive D:

Jumping on the punky wig thing - Amy-Lou and I have always ordered our punky wigs from Karen's Wigs off ebay. At the moment she only has the shorter one listed, but if you drop her a message she'll be able to tell you if she can order anything specific.

Her punky wig listing

The shipping can take a few weeks (especially if she has to order a specific colour) but we've never had a problem with her.

For Cosworx, I've only ever bought a gift voucher from them for sponsoring a competition - unfortunately even though it's just an online code we had a lot of problems and it took a while for them to sort. Slightly put me off ordering anything else from them!

Ahh thanks. I did actually have a look at that before but she doesnt seem to do brown...which is the colour I need. ^^; That said I am tempted by her 'Tina Turner' wig...it's for a Sora cosplay anyway...I'll have a think. I am very put off thinking i'll be charged extra on top by cosworx. D:

Also...sorry for invading this thread. XD

If it's for KH Sora, I bought my wig from her (same wig in my icon) - I just checked the colour charts on her site and asked if she could get the punky wig in that colour (think I went for no.12, sorry I can't find any old PMs to her to check!)

It's worth dropping her a message to see if she still does this

I find it really weird that people have such a mix of experiences from cosworx. I've never had an issue, but my friend, Rivervine (well, her mum to be exact), cannot order from them without customs going "oh, we have to check it" then wacking a £50 fine and knotting the wig (I'm convinced there were burly custom guys running around with a Chii and Misa Amena wig on their heads lolz).

We make jokes that it's because she's Irish, but it still a bit odd.

Maybe I'm lucky... I have never had a non-arriving item or delayed item in my entire time on internet shopping - in fact, they've all been early O_o Which none of my friends have... So I'm the one they go to for buyinh things online lolz.

I recently ordered my Bulma wig from these guys and had no problems?
Guess I was just lucky and just missed it!

Thanks for the heads up though =)
