Changing Lens Colours
Ok, so I'm going to cosplay Detective Ema Skye from Phoenix Wright.

The issue is the glasses. See, I found some with perfect frames but unfortunately the lenses are brown, is there perhaps an inexpensive way to change the colour of lenses?

I had thought of switching the lenses with some other sunglasses, but I couldn't do that with out causing damage to the frames, making it look bad

Any tips on either of these would be awesome <3

Or failing that, tell me where I could buy human sized versions of these.

It would be easier to get white frame clear glasses and painting the lens with glass paint or something.

Found these on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Blogger-DJ-Clear-Lens-Nerd-Skater-Wayfarer-Glasses-2873-/360196060985?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Sunglasses&var=&hash=item92aef3f6c5

And mum says to look at the 70s - she had a similar pair to that

Also makes me think of some of those shots with Twiggy

Though there also these http://www.janenorman.co.uk/fcp/product/buy-fashion-look-fabulous/accessories/diamant%C3%A8-circle-side-visor-sunglasses/7548?colour=white

Translucent paint on clear lenses would work or just search 'pink lense sunglasses' on ebay. No guarantees you'll find white frames, but a couple of layers of enamel paint will fix that.

Glass paint on clear lenses does work, though I'd say paint on the inside so the outside remains smooth, and don't intend to rely entirely on seeing well through them, depending on your painting skills.. I've done it before but the result was kinda blurry.

Also do this *way* before the event, paint fumes emanating directly in front of your eyes HURTS

1) remove clear lenses, make a wire frame which holds them by the edges

2) boil some water (about a pint)

3) add the tint to the boiling water

4) dunk the lenses in

5) remove after about 15 mins

6) ???

7) profit.
