Hello!

I love CLAMP and have done a few cosplays from it XD But I am interested in doing something a bit different for the London MCM Expo May 2011. I would like to put together a group from the CLAMP in 3D Land artworks and it would be great if we could get a big group!!

I know it’s early yet but I thought that I’d give people a chance to decide on what they would like to do!


29/07/2011: The group was a big success and since we didn't actually get much of a chance for photos... We've decided to have a spring photoshoot! This is currently planned for 28th April, which is a Saturday. Location has yet to be decided! But we'd VERY much like to get as big as a group as possible!! So if you were interested for May but couldn't do it for whatever reason, here is another chance for you!

Also, for the sake of consistancy, we are using ALL COTTON FABRICS. It does not matter what type, be it either drill, twill, klona/kona or normal (or any other type of cotton that I dont know about!). Just use the type you feel is best for you are going to have to make ^^ Although if you have already made or picked out your fabric and it isn't cotton, please, do not worry about it!! It won't matter all that much ^^

For the cloud designs on each costume, we will be using Heat&Bond applique technique. You can see a tutorial on this here: http://taeliac.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d1km02d
If you don't own a sewing machine, fabric paint will work just as well for sealing the edges of the Heat&Bond from what I have read. Although you may wanna test that first to see if it looks okay! ^^;
For those who do own a sewing machine, try to use emboridery thread or something similar for the stitch detail!

I'd be tempted to do Vol 1 Yuuko! However I'm not 100% sure if I can actually make it to May Expo as I'm putting priority to Kitacon and Minamicon, so I can only be a maybe until October Expo is over once I see if I'm allowed to stay at my friend's place again : P (May is exam season sooo she might not want me to stay at her Uni dorm LOL XD, and I'd be too poor from Kita and Minami to book a hotel for May D; )

Well, this is only an inital thread for the time being XD I know its a long way off yet and no one knows what they are doing yet But for those who have said maybe I have put them down as such ^^

Again, another person who may not be able to make it to May 2011. If I can, I'd like to do Kuro-puu (cause it's occured to me that expo puts me in a grump due to my crowd-phobia lol - not that bad but always puts me in a weird mood)

First choice would have obviously been Fai, but he's already been snatched up lolz

EDIT: hmmm, might know someone who'd do Hikaru - she likes that character lol, but isn't too confident in making the red pleather suit one lol
