Charity Cosplay cafe - Arigato Minna!
Thank you to EVERYONE who came to the cafe today!

we managed to raise about £70 for G.O.S.H in the end so thank you to all over you!

we had great fun!

i think it sounds like a fun idea plus if loads of people came they might be introduced into cosplaying. we get to show of our cosplays, raise money for charity, meet new people and have fun, seems like a good idea.

glad people are up for it. i dunno though if for the firsdt one just make it one and then expand if it's really popular?

i want to hold it in london but that'd be soooo expensive to rent the hall.

also, we might have to take a bit out of the earnings if it's popular to pay off what we spend... like on cosplays and cake ingrediants and decoration and things...i was thinking last night... ¬3¬

i'd want to keep it small but they tables could have laminated anime figures on so ike "table chobits order tea" and then have a box to stand the picture on and turn that into a donation box where people can put their spare change? >w<

you'd have to work out a good place to hold it,
how much food and drink would cost to make a profit on it,
then if people have cosplays they want to wear again or just made but have nothing to wear them to they have a chance to wear them,

as long as its advertised well enough cost shouldnt be to much of a problem.

what if we find a hall that's in a big town that alot of people know about that isn't london so it'll cost less? like Reading or Guildford?
South hampton?

Charity Cosplay cafe details!
WHERE will it be held? Brighton if we can find a good hall

WHEN will we hold it? Summer sometime TBC

WHO will be involved? Myself and anyone else who would like to serve or be served and donate some money to charity
(See Commitee members and waiters/waitresses)

HOW will we afford it? sponsership?

WHAT will we serve?
Drinks: Tea, Coffee, Iced Tea, Soda like Coke, Cream soda.. you know, anime stuff, not Ramune it's too expensive.
Food: Cakes, cookies and snacks we make ourselves

WHY are we doing this? To raise money for charity, which one is still to be decided.


i'd like to start organising asap as i'm pretty sure this is going to take a long time to organise places and times etc plus we also need to figure out costs and all sorts so if you'd like to help me organise this. i won't be able to do it all myself! also, we need to decide i good place where everyone will be able to get to relatively easily and not have to pay a huge amount to be there but is also a fairly cheap hall to rent. like maybe a school or something where we'll have tables and chairs and things....? any ideas? Please post them!

I just wanted to link to this site as it'll probably be useful in helping you get organised. It seems like you need to register in order to make use of their resources but they'll most likely be a fantastic source of support and information on how to set up and run charity events like this.

I'm happy to help organise etc. I don't think location will matter too much if it's in the summer, I'm allowed to travel anywhere (within reason) as long as my brother is with me. It's just if it's somewhere really far away me and my bro might need to pitch in and sleep in someones house or something, so traveling doesn't make our heads explode.

I mean, we could start advertising at May Expo or something, though i do think it should be somewhere a little central - just out side of London or something?
