His cloak has some stiffness to it so you might be best off with another method.
You could always alter a lab coat? Real ones are pretty expensive for something you're just going to cut up, about £20, but I'm sure you can get one for a costume or something that's pretty cheap? |

Never thought of the buying bit but have asked the deputy manager to ask them. It would be cool if i went in tonight and they said i could have it LOL. But i dont think manager would approve of me buying it off them __________________ Nothing is true, everything is permitted |

Why do you want it wool anyway? Is it part of a plan? As a massive Assassins Creed fan, I dont think it would be the right matierial. It wouldnt be very protective. Its definately thougher than that. I'd probably go for a white denim stuff or something. Something nice and sturdy ^_^ __________________ Asha Ketchum. Last edited by Chikinpoo (21 May 2010 - 16:58) |

If you're ironing that stuff on, it won't hold if it goes through a wash unless you have a lining, as in something keeping it in place. Sometimes the iron on stuff really doesn't stay all that well so you might be best off sewing it anyway, at least just tacking it on to prevent some disaster.
EDIT: Also, have you looked into starching? When you get it, if you see what kind of material it is, you may be able to add starch to it that will give the stiffness without you having to add on any stiffening or interfacing. Last edited by Kan-chan (23 May 2010 - 01:06) |
