Using Fimo
Erm...question. Should fimo be hard when finished? Made summit, put it in appropriately heated oven for about 40 mins now, and its still a little soft. It says 30 mins on packet?

The pack said 'follow instructions', but the only one was 'cook at 130 degress for 30 mins'.

yes, it should be hard, Because Fimo is a plastic so when it's cooked it turns into a solid plastic. however fimo is toxic if left in too long, or on a too high heat. You should be carefull. If you over cooked it We have been advised by a doctor to chuck it away.

It wasn't smoking when it came out was it?

ive used fimo afew times for various things ^_^ When the fimo comes out of the oven yes..it is still abit soft but this is only because it is still quite hot, i usually wait until it cools this hardens it. After abot 15 min or so when its cool it should be rock hard ^_^ hope this helped ^_^

Better get it out then. Thanks.

Edit: And no, hasn't been smoking. Was in for an hour at 130 degrees. I'll let it cool, see how it turns out

Edit 2: Woo after cooling its become solid. Need to stick on a couple of bits, but i have some araldite for that sort of stuff

Thanks for the info!
