Just wondering If anyone was from Hull and cosplayed?

Yeah im from Hull there are actually quite a few of us ^.^ we did have a group but there was far to much Drama

There are loads of cosplayers in Hull. Me, Ryuk and Bambi up there to name but a few, we probably know dozens of others between us. i think Hull has quite a few cosplayers, compared to its relative size and isolation. our Recons at Waterstones have always been some of the most popular in the country, hence why ours is one of these they are continuuing to do despite their massive cutbacks

I used to cosplay every saturday down in london but i've been in hull now for half a year and never seen one cosplayer XD i started to think there wasnt any lol

To be honest you will be hard pressed to find any cosplayers around Hull who just do it randomly on a day without there being an Event I thought it was just Hull that the public was Nasty and ignorant at but apparently its everywhere XD

back when i started cosplay in 2007, we used to have regular saturday cosplay meetups in town, but these gradually fizzled away, and became ever more casual. nowadays, a few of us usually meet on a satuday, but we dont really cosplay for it. in Hull, we usually organise a couple of cosplay picnics over the summer (had one with about 20 of us just 2 weeks ago in queens gardens), and the anime league do occasional meets in the city, the last one being on valantines day. obviously, we do occasionally have the waterstones recons, but usually just once a year. there should be one coming up in june/july time though. and thats pretty much it. as i say, there are loads of cosplayers in Hull, and we do go to events across the UK, and organise occasional photoshoots for cosplays. im sure youll be more than welcome to join up with us at some point, even if its not cosplay, and hang. and we can keep you up to date with any events we do organise in the city

Lol yes people can be very nasty i found that out in london but not many people can understand the fun in cosplaying! xD i miss it i havnt cosplayed in ages xD

*raises hand* I'm in Hull at university. As are two of my friends who cosplay too. We find it hard to find other cosplayers around Hull as well. I tend not to wear anything that may distinguish me as a cosplayer or mention it too much due to fear of becoming a chav target. (though compared to Doncaster where I live out of term time, the chavs here are actually more polite. o_O)

I'm a Hull cosplayer! I love on the Avenues, and I study at Hull School of Art & Design. I tend to wear elements of cosplay day to day unlike some of the others, lol! Like my Hatsune Miku skirt <3

But yeah we're a lovely bunch if you ever wanna chill out I promise we don't bite

And yeah i can understand about the chavs i used to live in london and amount of time's there's been trouble with chavs is just unbelieveable >.<

I wouldnt have thought since when i told some of my london cosplay mates that i was moving here they had no idea where hull was xD

Please please please have thge meetup on a weekday/evening ;___; otherwise I'll be stuck at work boo hoo, whereas during the week I'm at uni slap-bang in the city centre! Infact most meets are on Queens Gardens so I can look out the window and be like 'Hai Gaiz!' XD

Got one right here. Me and friends who do cosplay group are always trying to get out and about with our cosplays on. Usually every month we meet and take to the streets in style.

I've always thought Hull was a big place for cosplay, people just don't go out too often in cosplays with RE:con or orginised meets.

I would love to go to a hull cosplay meet up if there ever is one ...though not sure you lot would prolbey want me with yous xD

Ah yeah a Hull meet would rock! Speaking for myself and Adam *of the old crew of cosplayers that first started bombing around, back when words like Naruto was a distant memory* it would be so much fun!!!

Someone should orginise something, be awesome to get the cosplayers out more often. Sure there would be a positive responce from everyone.

Just mention Hull and cosplay and we soon come out the woodwork as you can see haha. I cant wait for some so hopefully more stuff would be able to go on with nice weather =)

I'm nearly 18 but I go with anyone. Cosply is not about age, its about having fun. And doing it with everyone and anyone. Tis why we are friendly people.

Lol true most cosplayers are nice and dont care about age. though i have known some cosplayers who hear my age and just think im a kid even though i act older than they do 0.0 xD
