What's your trend?
i was wondering does anyone else seem to have a sort of trend with their cosplays (be it intensional or not).

I'm asking this because me and my friend were talking about cosplays we've done or are planning to do and i noticed a kind of pattern with mine and i didn't realise until we started talking about it -

i noticed the trend in my cosplays is that near enough all of the ones i have either done or are planning to do have something to do with either belts or straps XD. For Example:

Sora (Kingdom Hearts 2) - straps around his legs

Jak (Jak 2: Renegade) - a belt going diagonal and around his chest and straps around his legs

Ada (Resident Evil 2) - wears a single one around her waist

Zidane (Final Fantasy IX) - belt around both shoulders and a long 1 around his waist

Zack (Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core) 2 belts holding his poldrons and also 3 (i'm counting in the big Crisis core symbold 1) around his waist

Lulu (Final Fantasy X) - The queen of belts >.< not only is the front near enough made up of just belts but she wears 2 crossing over one-an-other on her arms

Well, my trend is usually to go for the most feminine characters, e.g. Misa/Winry/Kaoru/Zhen Ji/Mana and a million more planned.... as opposed to my best mate who always crossplays (you know who you are but i've been trying to break it a bit by going as Luffy next time, thought I shold crossplay at least once

Well most of the time i do choose to play guys instead of girls so that's probably something else i could possibly add to my trend XD

Hehe thats me!

Yep, I do tend to want to cosplay as guys all the time lol.

Envy - Fullmetal Alchemist
Zoro - One Piece Unlimited Cruise
Pharoah Atem - Yu-Gi-Oh!

I think it is because i read and watch a LOT of shonen lol.

But my best friend Lolita Hime here has persuaded me to cosplay as Misao from Rurouni Kenshin... who is a woman, but not exactly a girl girl. I don't think i would ever suit girl girl cosplays.. I like warrior / fighting characters more

BOOBS!

I have a tendency to pick characters that have a large bust so it's easier for me to be size appropriate

That or "whoever Ryukredapples Cosplays, I cosplay the character they are sleeping with/dating/in love with/fan paired with...".
That's my favorite trend, hehe :3

Long sleeves/Covering up most of their arms basically.
Apart from one of them, all of my costumes that I've done/Got in progress/Planned have long sleeves or armwarmers. I have a thing for covering up my arms for some reason...Not very good but it seems like a weird thing for me.

Very masculin men. The broader the shoulders the better as it means my own size can fit into theirs slightly better. Also the facial structure has to be rather manly too ^_^'

I have alot of German uniforms and crossplays.
And besides Sailor Neptune and genderbent Yoko my list is quite antagonistic.

Teenage/ young women characters that are similar to my figure. All are slim with small-ish boobs for example.

Both Rinoa and Jill have a lot of blue in their outfits.

There is definitely a trend with my cosplay's I've noticed and other people have said the same. I tend to cosplay the strong heroine types which includes a few military uniforms. The only real feminine cosplay was Ryoko from Area 88.

It used to be blondes.

But I guess now it's pretty boys. Either girly ones like China and the Undertaker or cute ones like Shuichi and Wolfram.

And Prussia. He's just a category all of his own. XD

Raging slags and massive bitches

Probably because I fail at being either. I'm trying to move a bit further away from the always-has-her-boobs-out costumes too, but people keep demanding them!

Kinda had some odd ones over the last few years, but my main character types seem to be 14 year old boys, or strong/quirky females. I have quite a young face so trying to cosplay anyone above the age of about 20 gets a little silly for me.

In terms of construction/general look etc, an abundance of leatherette and buckles seem to be a running trend, although that's really not intentional! (I just like buckles and punky outfits....)

Plus, leatherette and buckles really suit you. You do look hawt in some of your cossies.
