When people comment on your costumes, I always like to reply to their comment. It shows that I appreciate that they take the time to type a couple of words of encouragement/critique, but this means I either have to type a new comment into the same costume page, or I have to go to their page, find a costume, and type my reply there.
Would it be a good idea for cosplayisland to develop a 'reply to comment' system that is much easier to see who is replying to who, and the person would be notified if someone replied to their comments?

I do the exact same, I always try to return the comment but sometimes I can't because other people don't have any costumes yet, and sometimes I just feel awkward commenting on my own costumes saying "thanks". Maybe we should be able to leave comments on people's profile pages too, not just on specific costumes? |

Replying to comments is something that is actually coming, although we're not exactly sure *when*. Just to give you a bit of background to my answer without getting too technical - C:Island currently uses two different systems, which although was great when we made it (i.e. when we didn't know better As for comments on profiles, we're not completely sure about the idea, to be honest. We need to think if there's a decent way to integrate it into the look of the site, and also find a way of making it less confusing than sites like MySpace and Facebook, where you only get one side of the conversation on a person's profile. Either way it will take a lot of thought! At the moment between comments, the forum and using PMs there are quite a few ways you can leave messages for people, so its not going to be top priority for us until we've got a lot of the other features implemented. It is something we'll consider however, especially if more people show interest in the feature |
