Hi!

my friend is planning on making a Domo costume with my help and we were wondering what's the best fabric to use for it!

It seems like a fleecey-towelly fabric but i don't know if there's a technical name or what ever to look for >.<

Also, what sort of foam thickness is best to use for it, i haven't really used it before so i'm not sure which would be best. We'd probably be basing it around a box and putting the foam and fabric ontop of it. If anyone else has any better ideas as far as construction goes it'd be greatly appreciated

If it was me... i would probably use some sort of polar fleece, i use it alot to make animal hats, and i think it would be perfect for this, i have a huge domo plushie.. and he is made out of the same stuff. *searches for where i got all my fleece from*

thats the sort of fleece i used, i cant actually find where i got mine from... it was ebay somewhere... if i find it i'll let u know.

Thats where i got mine from, the colour 'tobacco' would be perfect, it is a little pricey.. but you do get 10 metres of it... and domo is huge! lol.

Toweling fabric would be perfect. you can find it in brown too i'm pretty sure.

larger fabriclands sell it for like 3 quid a metre or something.

Are you making it look like a box? Only I can give you some tips on what to use for underneath construction if you like?

I used funky foam/craft foam for my Sudowoodo and it's great and flexible and lightweight, easy to pack and store and if coated with material on the outside, very durable.

Be careful though as it will get very VERY hot!

I agree with the fleece, just be sure to deoderate yourself lots cause it gets really hot! D:
