Cosplay and Airsoft
Well I know a fair amount of you guys and gals use airsoft weapons for cosplay props, but I was wondering how many of you take part in the sport. What teams are you part of? What weapons do you own? Where do you play?

i airsofted a fair few times years ago when i lived up north but as of late ive not had the time/money/travel means to carry it on which is a royal shame as i really want to take it up again. (also so i can get some new guns)

I do a lot of paintballing...Never heard of anywhere local that does airsoft though

It's a shame the guns look much sexier too

I dropped the sport about 2 years ago and recently got back into it. Been busily upgrading my kit and sprucing up my guns in anticaption of my next game on the 31st

Going to a place in Rochdale iirc.

good luck with your game,

what parts are you upgradeing and where do you get your parts? (my TM M4A1 needs a going over)

Yeah good luck, remember pain is temporary!

I could really use finding an Airsoft Bushmaster ACR for My 'Ghost' Cosplay but a quick search of Google revealed the few that were made sold out completely in the states without even reaching the UK.

Still I'm never sure of the rules for different Expo's/Cons, can't you get in trouble for having them in public for anything other than taking them to a range?

Added new rails and a vert grip to my JG G36C as well as just bought an Eotech 552 to replace the 551 I don't like anymore.

Need a new scope and bipod repairing on my custom HK93 that uses a TM SG/1 as a base.

The kit I wear is based off UK Armed Police, its good for CQB but not very good for woodland! ^^

I dropped the sport about 4 years ago before I headed off to uni and sold my kit to give me a bit of extra cash. I used to run with an AK105 and a Glock17.

I'm hopefully going to take up the sport again this year once I get my UKARA licence.

Having UKARA registration is not a legal requirement to be an airsofter or buy weapons. The legal requirement is to be a registered member of an airsoft site that has the appropriate insurance and the ability for your membership of said site to be verified.

The UKARA like to give the impression you must join them but you don't have to.

I bring this thread back from the dead with the dark art of necromancy! I know a few of my fellow cosplayers have been drawn to airsoft as of late *looking at you faramon* and was wondering if anyone else has looked into the sport!

Would love to get into it again, there just arent any places close enough and people to go with would love to make it like a yearly thing.

MP5 is a really good starter weapon, you can add all sorts of bits for them.

Just got back from The Mall on Sunday with Faramon, we're going again on the 14th November

Great fun CQB in the pitch blackness of the basement.
