I currently have a dark navy blue suit going spare which I am planning to use for a cosplay costume, however the character in question actually wears quite a light blue suit.

I'm wondering what would be the easiest way to bleach/lighten the suit, what kind of quantities of bleach would be needed, if it needs to be soaked or sprayed on and if the bleach would ruin the fabric/lining or not.
