Whats everyones Cosplay related new years resolution?
Just wanted to see what everyone has cooked up for 2010 cosplaying from gaining/losing weight, growing/dying/cutting hair to make your costumes even more awesome than or just more random stuff an making new cosplay friends.

I plan on getting more ripped LOL (lot of fitted costumes coming up) an making new cosplay friends an improving on my craftmemship.

P.s. I hope every1 gets what they want

To loose weight!
And to get a job, so I can spend more money on cosplays,

But my main one is to loose weight. I'm not happy with my body right now and just want to be a bit... thinner. XD

My mission is not to let cosplay get me despressed in any way, shape or form.

I will not get eaten by the big bad cosplay monster, no matter how terrible my costumes may look after months of work...I will eat it first!

To gain weight slightly so things aren't so small that a kid could wear them and turn it into muscles haha ^^, Become more happier with life in general, Learn more complex ways to make outfits and costumes, Use latex for some new things and learn more about prop making with different materials. oh and eat a more variety of different foods.

And make more cosplay friends and help the cosplay community more with costume help.

Hmm to tone up!!! Im so fed up of being all flab. I will be happy when ive gained a bit of muscle weight ^__^ yey.

And become alot better at making costumes, im still new to this and very amature. So i want to become alot better.
I want to go to more cons and become more in tune with the cosplay comunity ^___^
And make lots of friends.
Id also like to give prop making a go at some point.

I think I need to be way braver I'm a closet cosplayer at da mo lol only a few of my mates know an think I'm wierd so defo need more like minded cosplay friends an to stop my ninja obession by dnt have a clue what other cosplays I can pull off

31 Dec 2009 - 14:3824489
Main ones:

- To plan my time better so I'm not pulling all-nighters before a con or finishing things off in the hotel room
- To restrict myself to no more than one new costume per event (should help with the first resolution)
- To learn to accept it if a costume won't get done in time and not beat myself up over it -_-;

I am also looking to get more exercise and shake off some flab, but I see that as less of a cosplay resolution and more of a "for my own health" resolution with the added bonus of looking better in my costumes.

I might also look into taking some actual sewing classes so I feel less like a long-term amateur, and I still need to find a photographer who'll be willing to take some nice photos of my costumes for me...

Definitely a healthier year: loose some weight and get my aches and pains healed\ fixed, damned if I'm going to spend another year popping pain killers like smarties.

Methinks I'm going to do that cosplay book I've been thinking about.

Manage my time better so I have a chance to try the whole costume on BEFORE the event, rather than just fitting the individual bits.

Wishful thinking: move to a house with a sewing room!

My main resolution is to exercise more so I can lose the weight that needs losing for some of my cosplays. This is for Bomb. and Subaru in particular. And to generally be healthier to look good for cons too.

Also, I need to plan better on my costumes and experiment/learn with several techniques first rather than just sticking to the same one idea stuck in my head for some time.

To become more sociable at events. Joining a couple of cosplay photo shoots at Kita 10 hoping to lift off the slight con-shyness I have.

And to try not to feel too down if my cosplays don't go as according to plan. After all, cosplay is meant to be fun

To put on some weight definately. People may like my thin-ness but I don't, I feel as though most people think I'm anorexsic (spelling?) when I really aren't, I eat 3 full meals a day! >_< Maybe I should snack more? >_>

Also, learn how to make cosplay's better, I must learn new techniques! I'm still very new to everything, at least I have my sewing machine now.

- To lose weight ahaha~ (My old old costumes no longer fit me Q.Q)
- To get better at prop-making~
- To learn how to make jackets
- To be more patient
- To get things done in time! (I'm getting better at that though... I hope...)
- To learn new techniques in general??
- To rewear more >_<;

31 Dec 2009 - 18:0824498
Get better at time management ^^;
I'm behind on everything XD

I have three:

Like everyone else, I need to lose weight. I don't really need to for Aziraphale, but as I'm also redoing China, and looking at a few of the others I want to do...

I also want to do less cosplays! Then I can put more time/effort/money into the ones I do do.

And I need to start recording my cosplays better if I'm going to apply to do something costume based after the summer.

Nice idea

Mine are;

* To tone up so that I look better in my more buff cosplays *cough* Sephiroth *cough*

* To sort out my cosplay/sewing room. Theres stuff in there thats so old that I think its retro.

* To start my cosplays sooner

* To reduce the number of over the top cosplays. I hope to get a career off the grounhd so I won't have much time to do the real epic stuff.

* To actually get proper photoshoots done. I'm sick of my older cosplays being let down by way too dark photography taken randomally at cons. No offence to the photographers

Mine are: Try to make a scratchbuilt cosplay
Try to decide who to cosplay faster to actually make them. (failing already)

31 Dec 2009 - 22:3124508
The main thing I want is to concentrate on improving my cosplay photography, taking more creative and "in-character" pictures of different cosplays and in locations suitable for the character.

I also want to start experimenting with making props, as I've only made one cosplay weapon so far and that was ages ago now. X3

~ Don't leave finishing a costume the week of the event/con... I said this last year also lol

~ Work on props

31 Dec 2009 - 23:3624510
Mine are to make my costumes from scratch by myself, so I can enter the masquerades, learn how to use a wide range of techniques, research and practice being in character (I'm currently useless at it on all apart from one cosplay), get stronger generally/work out more (fusion and buster swords are going to be quite heavy if I don't want them to fall apart ^^; ), and just be more sociable a cons! I'm quite shy by nature, so I might need some help with that.

1. Plan better so I actually get more than 1 costume done this year...

2. Be more decisive. Pick something and get it done! I get distracted

2. sort out my mess so I know what fabrics I have...I hoard...it's shoking really...

3. make an anime cosplay...never made one before, so it should be fun

4 stop stressing about masquarades...lol...I don't enter them anymore because of it.

that'll do for a start.

- As others have said, lose some weight/tone up

- Procrastinate less - I want to get more than one cosplay completed this year!

- Learn to use make-up and pose better for photos

01 Jan 2010 - 14:2224520
Mine is to actually do costumes! Like start making them more and do costumes for my self and not do them for anyone else.

But then, also.....to actually lose weight for may and such like.

We must meet up again sometime and I'll show you the books I've used to teach myself how to put on makeup, they're marvellous books.

-Choose something early, stick to it and FINISH IT.

-Lose weight, im sick of looking like a fatty for my cosplays D8<

-Try to make the inside neater on my outfits

-Maybe try to use patterns this year? :'D

-Gain more confidence in my self and maybe try to do an Omake/performance (I doubt it but I have so many ideas Id like to do. Just I dont have enough confidence to do it ;-; )
