@Demented Kid, Yikes. That is creepy. That person could so of been arested for showing their parts.

Luckerly, I've not had too many creey experiences. The costumes I tend to do mean people will be too scared to approach.

I've had, however, some the worst chat up lines in histroy.

Whist dressed as Legolas. The bartender came of to me and said with a very pervy grin "like your ears." Then he ran of. My brother and friend told me to get my coat as I had pulled. Lol!

Whist dressed as Spike from Buffy. One girk came up to me and told me her room number and that she would be there in five minutes waiting for me. She then grabbed my crotch and looked perplexed at my lack of boy parts. Lol!

The Lucius tends to get a lot of bad puns refering to my cane or houseelf flolicking.

I'm sure there have been a number of slightly bizarre incidents, but something which oftens happens to me (and, I'm sure, other ladies too) is random, not-cosplaying, usually older men coming up and asking for photographs - of just me in the skimpy/revealing costume even though standing with a group of other cosplaying friends. Okay - cosplaying is exhibitionist and does generally imply that you want to be photographed, but sometimes you have to question the motive behind it! I've found that actually asking them if they know what you are is a good start - they often look nonplussed.

Also some man touched my bum at the cosplay ball, so I told him off. Nothing beats an active bitch out - most people who do that don't expect to be called on it!

Wow some of the things people do is just scary!

The worst that's ever happened to me is at the first Alcon (yeah...) some guy had gotten completely wasted and decided to just face plant into my boobs. O.o Luckily I was with Mike and Amber at the time so Mike jumped in and saved me!

The other three are just plain weird:

Expo October 08 I had one guy ask me to marry him (got down on one knee and everything) while I was with Jack. He went away pretty quickly when I explained I was already marrying the guy next to me.

Same Expo we met (as I'm sure many people did) a random guy apparently cosplaying his own pokemon character and asked us if we wanted to be in his movie (about his character no less), he then had to tell us about what his movie is about and who his character is. After about 10 minutes we managed to escape!

Final one was at Minami last year, we were all sat down when some complete stranger decides to come and sit uncomfortably close to us and just stare at us for about 30 minutes while we eat mumbling to himself. After that we head off and find that he's follow us! He was swiftly avoided for the rest of the weekend.

I have to admit I've met that guy before and this out of costume. This was when the LAC was still up and running. So he's seen me and a few of my friends before. I can't say I like the guy. I think he's like that a with everyone. That expo I think he didn't recognise me thanks to the hood on my Ice Climber costume.

This actually kind of made me laugh when it happened, but mostly because it was so unexpected.

I was wearing my Feena costume at October Expo 2008 and was stopped for a photo. Smiled, posed happily and said thanks when this guy and his friend were done. As I started setting off to do something or go somewhere I over heard the one who had taken the photo:
'That's one for the fap folder'.

I was actually so shocked I just went: 'WHAT?!'

It makes me laugh now I think about it. XD

That is HILARIOUS! Funny to actually hear it - it's kind of what you fear's going to happen to photos of smaller costumes, but try not to think about...

WOW creepy things

I've had a few , first one was going to my first London expo i went as Rikku (FFX) and i had a guy constantly follow me and my friends who were also in FF cosplay. It freaked me out and our other Rikku and Yuna also so our Paine quite happily sorted the guy out in character.

At Ayacon in 2005 i was just waiting for my friends to finish getting into their cosplay outside i was in my Lenne Songstress cosplay, and i had a guy with a MAHOOSIVE camera (which puts me off enough), and he came up to me asking for a photo and i said yeh ok just let me get my sleeves on (the costume wouldnt be complete without it) and he said no no leave them off i like your arms , i laughed nervously and he took a few pics of me i SWEAR one was directed right at my chest >.<!.

The last one that happened was when i crossplayed Kankurou at london expo in 2007, and i was in the hall walking around with my bf and i had some KH cosplayer stalk me and i looked round and before i knew it she glomped me nearly down to the floor and gave me a huge kiss, i was rather taken back by this , she let me get up and told me my cosplay was fantastic and winked at me , That kind of thing creeps me out lol.

07 Dec 2009 - 21:5623547
wow some people have had some crazy things happen to them >.< thankfully nothing awful/scary has happened just yet. I'm still waiting for mine!

Had the odd stall owner/dealer person saying wierd things or just having no idea what they're selling. You'd think that if you were selling things at an expo/con that you should know at least a little about what you're selling...a guy at LFCC was selling loads of figurines and general anime-esque stuff, I got a Grimmjow and a Cloud figurine and i think his exact words were 'oh you want the blue haired genie' and 'the spiky man with a penis extension for a sword'...I did try explaining what they were from but he was completely clueless O_O crazy man!

07 Dec 2009 - 23:0623551
hmm i dont think ive had any really creepy things, its prob worse for girl, but if anyones been creeped out by me i do apologise ^^

there was a fun thing when i wore my chessy jiraiya cosplay and a guy took a photo of me lookin at hentai

If that's the guy I think it is we had to block him from all the online sites we use (DA, facebook etc) and ask him to stop coming by our stall at Expo. The message seems to have got through as we didn't see him at all at the October Expo.

I've had to block him as well *sighs*

I remember one experience at Minami where an attendee started talking to me when I was dressed as Eternal Sailor Jupiter. I don't mind talking to people, but it gets a bit off-putting when they start talking to you LIKE you're the character. And when he wouldn't leave me alone. Like I kept trying to talk to my friends, and he'd interrupt and physically push himself between me and the people I was speaking to (may come as a surprise, but I'm of quite a nervous disposition anyway, so fairly large, imposing people cutting me off from people I know makes my anxiety sky rocket).

I made my excuses several times and tried to scuttle off to do something else, only to find he had followed me. The funny thing was, be didn't even notice me on the Saturday when I wore my Feena costume. And actually said when he saw me in Eternal Jupiter again on the Sunday that he hadn't seen me on the Saturday.

That was quite... weird; I was reminded of it by these other stories, I'd totally forgotten. I don't even remember his name. .___.;

I've had one or two outright creeps follow me around and really fail to get the "not interested" message (although one of them was therefore partially responsible for me getting together with my partner, ha ha) but there's a weird thing I've had happen a couple of times. When I've been in a particularly revealing costume, I've had middle-aged and elderly women take my photo and then say "I'm showing this to my husband!".

I don't think it's creepy though, more like I hope the husbands appreciate their clearly awesome wives

08 Dec 2009 - 14:0423566
I think that was Rob, Silver. He tends to do that a lot, he's the guy who's in my film class and who likes putting his head on my lap >>. Just avoid him, or do what me and my girls do when we spot him is duck and hide. He ususally doesn't spot you that way XD <--- *a group of us actually did this in forbidden planet when we spotted him. I think the staff thought we were a little mad, haha*

But yeah, he did that to me and Ellie when we were Uranus and Neptune, asking who my girlfriend was and such >< I mean, i know we're cosplaying a couple, but that doesn't mean we -are- a couple. Heck, he knows I'm single because he's in my class! Annoying guy, really creepy too >> Blegh.

Ewwww and double icky

At the Oct MCM a young lady was having her shot taken (by me) and she got a little too enthusiastic and "popped out" of her bodice, but hadn't noticed. I was trying to be diplomatic and delicately point out both of her problems were showing. And no, I didn't take the shot until she had composed herself and I shall not reveal who it was (I'm too much a gentleman for that)

The other stories I save for the bar...

I've experienced quite a few creepy moments.

I have guys believe I'm actually Usagi (Sailor Moon) and one got hold of my email and wrote me an abusive email when I cosplayed Sailor Mars. He Demanded Usagi wouldn't do this and how it broke his heart. I think in total I've had 3 creepy sailor moon guys. All over the age of 30.

I've been cornered in cons and guys being too much in my personal space and had to be rescued by friends.

been asked out on a date demanding i dress as Usagi.

and I had creepy moments dressed as Nia too o.o some guy tried extra hard for a panty shot and he failed.

Nothing particularly of note in my experience. Although, one guy, who I can't remember the name of (although he's a regular at cons and you'd probably know him) praised my costume one time, and I suggested that we could get a photo together. The guy unsheathed his metal replica katana and held it against my neck for his pose. Which, needless to say made me quite uncomfortable indeed. Apart from being dangerous, that's also quite degrading to my character, haha.

Other than that, generally free-huggers weird me out. If it's not weird enough the notion that 15 year old guys want to hug me, but when they chat to me it's usually awkward too.

Most of my creepy experiences have been through dA and Facebook! People messaging me as if I'm Marluxia from Kingdom Hearts is really creepy D:

You're always going to get weirdos at places like Expo and Cons though, just roll with it and remember to share them xD

This kind of thing has happened to me before! With someone messaging me for ages acting like I actually AM England from Hetalia. That was kinda more hilarious to me than creepy though. Your's sounds really creepy though! X.X (That reminds me I had a similar thing with Sailor Saturn that was a bit more twisted. X.X)

So yeah, fair share of creepers over here as well. I dont know what are more frightening, the freaky guys or the manic fangirls. Had my fair share of both....

10 Dec 2009 - 11:5723647
I've had this too, with both Jiraiya and Alucard (and the Jiraiya one was rather...freaky to be honest :-\).

Alucard has happened a few times but the last time was a girl claiming she was breaking down crying because of a picture Efia and I did of Alucard and Integra kissing and this was because she was in love with me (Alucard) and how dare I kiss Sir Integra when she deserved me more :-\

Creeped me out LOL
