Hi i'm totally new but completely fascinated with this!!!
I've made one fancy dress costume in my life (mother dearest always did them when i was younger) but i really want to learn and make some amazing costumes and go to conventions, so i figured this would be the best place to start to learn!!!!

| Delusional Joined: 22 Mar 2007 Posts: 248 | Welcome! Glad you find the site, and I hope you do find it useful. We dont promise to have all the answers, but between the lot of us on here (of which there are now over 300!) I'm sure we can pretty much answer most questions to do with cosplay XD
Have you got any ideas what you want your first costume to be? Also, if you haven't already check out the Events page, it'll show you a pretty concise list of all cosplay events coming up where you can actually parade your costume around for people to see! Anyway, hope you're settling in well (good to see someone new who isn't scared of posting in the forums!) and I look forward to seeing pics of what you decide to make. Feel free to PM me, or ask here on the forums if you have any problems or questions regarding the site |

I reckon i'm going to make a Sailor Moon costume as it looks pretty basic in a sense... I'm going to Collectormania at the GMEX in March as i live behind the GMEX, but i doubt i'll have my costume ready by then. Not to a wearable standard anyway. I'm thinking about buying one off EBay and taking it to pieces and learning that way. |

Cosplaying is like puzzle solving. It's about de constructing something, then figuring out how to put it back the way you want. Good luck, and we are always here to help! ~M |
