People charge a lot of money for that sort of retouching, it's a useful skill to have

Isn't it ironic that the ones who are paid to do it are the ones that royally fails at it?

I seen that already, it kicked up a big fuss because of the whole dmca takedown thing.. hilarity ensued etc...

I mean there are people who you can send in photos to and they charge like £20 for 15 mins of work or something similar.

Ritsuka-x-x as Miku

well, if anyone wants any editing done~

seriously, i will edit for people within reason, and don't expect huge fees. i also have proffessional pigment printing facilities at home... maybe i should start a service thread in market place since i can't do much prop building while my wrist is still bad!

I really loved this photograph <333 the cosplayer is amazing but the attention and focus on details like Rufus's disease is purely awesome-

I love when photograph's point of focus is a very symbolic and story telling detail-

@MikauMikau. That is a striking photo. I love that the photographer chose to photo the geostigma and its been captured so well.

I wonder if they photoshopped slightly or heavily or none at all to receive that texture on the models hand.

I really did not know that people could make money from simple retouching, I have been doing it free for others since goodness knows how long.

More Death-May-Die genius. It took me a while to choose a fave from this shoot as he took so many amazing ones for us, but I do adore it <3

Steampunk - Valkyrie Crew in Combat
(Other cosplayers are sjbonnar, Leadmill, Aliasdotcom, juggern0ught, Efia and Fullmetalwing)

Seriously, none of Fez's work? T_T this makes me a sad Monkey!

Too many to choose from I must say... though I do particulary like this one:

Cosplayers include Miss Uni and Kitsu

It's very possible to get that texture without any post work at all, depends on camera+lens of course.

It depends on the difficulty, general stuff would be removing a bin from a wedding photo for example.

Or what xaerael just did, removing a *whole* parking lot.. I'm envious

I posted one as I do love it. I think it was on the first page.

That is an awesome photo. I love that the blood on the hand really stands out without lossing the cosplayer.

Selph, That is a great shot of the Valkyre crew. In fact quite a few of those photos are ace.

Although I have many technically better shots, this one I did as a last shot (I had in fact packed my camera away), late one night, but remains one of my favourites.

I've read some of Dianne Wynne Jones' stuff. Liked some, didn't like others.

That is a great picture though. Makes me want my own Calcifur even more!!!

For this picture I think the model makes up most of it. She looks simply amazing. *___* The Photography gets major kudos though for getting it in the right composition and keeping it symmetrical <333

I just wish that tag wasn't there.

This following photo (link) was taken of me, for me by a friend as I didn't have any decent photos of this costume without a horrible wig. It was taken on a sunny yet windy day here in Brighton and that water was freakin' cold.

I did the post processing (which consisted of adjusting the colours etc.)

http://evil-hippo.com/silverstar/image/AerithBeach_17.JPG

I really feel for you in that water, we did a shoot last January on Whitley Bay (AKA the North Sea...). There are no words to describe how cold it was, except, maybe, hypothermia-inducing!
http://let-it-shine.deviantart.com/art/Shibuki-Ame-109377846

But my favourite photo from the set...
http://let-it-shine.deviantart.com/art/Mizu-no-Youni-109187043

I love the contrast between the red and blue, I think. Both photo's are by Yuka, who I'd have every photoshoot with if I could help it.

Um... This one I took, it came out great considering how NOT a photographer I am. I can't really take credit because it's mostly down to how comfortable the two of them are together, they really got the... Yearning feeling of the song down in their posing. I love the contrast in the costumes have too.

Miku is UnaSpi and Luka is MissBidoof~

I'm loving the photo's in the thread so far, there's a lot to be learned by looking at good photography, I think!

My Tifa photoshoot
Heres probably my best of a photo shoot I had with this Tifa. I was happy that she got featured on GameInformer. Heres the website: http://gameinformer.com/blogs/editors/b/gimeagan_blog/archive/2009/11/19/cosblog-8-tifa-lockhart-by-melissa.aspx theres more of them there too.

I'm still trying to learn though. Any crits would be appreciated

Again I'm a bit edging towards 'awesome cosplay' as opposed to Photography but I love how this looks VERY much right out of the movie. They're going somewhere, they're feeling something, the photographer aimed at them from an appropriate distance, etc etc. Great capture C:

That is some brilliant photography, you can feel the movement in the picture, it also looks very natural rather than posed.

I love this photo. Its a great use of the location. I like that the Hobbit thats furtherest back is slightly out of focus so they are looking like the compainon in the journey. Its a great piece. I love it.

I think my dream photo is to take pictures of someone dressed as a Hobbit in my home town in France-

Why?

Because it's beyond awesome there http://www.panoramio.com/photo/14163620

I think I'm gonna attempt this This summer, because if I don't do it soon I never will.
