Oh good lord...X.X Tbh Jacobar, you really shouldnt have started this thread to begin with. It would have been best to finalise details and stuff and present it in a professional informative manner, if you're really serious about this! Rather than just saying they're good quality with nothing to back it up. First build up a reputation - it's something KEY in the cosplaying world and unfortunatly must first be earnt. ^^;;

But I wish you the best of luck...We're generally a very friendly community and when people ask you for details and such dont take it so negatively! They're trying to insure that you dont get ripped off by this company and such!

Ok not much else to say on this matter as I think Xae and Tab (both established and well respected members of this communnity) have pretty much covered it and I support them both 100%

But as another point, you would'nt get much business selling your work via this site, almost everyone makes their own costumes - the commissions are mostly wigs, various props and corsets. So selling on dodgey HK stuff is'nt really going to rock anyones boat here.

Agreed with everything people have said here and like Sands I support Tab n' xaerael with their crit / advise~ You certainly need to take a step back and re-evaluate your goal.

Pretty much everyone has said everything that needs saying.

I've noticed everytime anyone offers you advise; you throw it back in their face and have a to a temper tantrum like a child. You are never, ever going to succeed if you can't take advice when its offered to you; especially when its by people who already have experience in the area you're trying to break in to.

Advice that Tab offered you should have taken on board gratefully and gone back to the drawing board, like any other person would.

And judging by KairioftheDark's comment if you're quitting cosplay because of this little run in - then that's probably a good thing.

Woah, guys hold on a minute! Jacobar was rude in one instance, that really didn't need him being completely ripped apart like that! Especially by people of your standings who are well-respected members of the cosplay community.

It sounds to me like he's just a naive kid who thinks that this is an honest job...

Actually, that's kind of a bad thing at 16...but people saying he should go ahead and quit cosplay because of it!? I really was not expecting to see that! Especially from people of your standings who know how intimidating it can be when you're new to the community. That was really harsh and I honestly think you were doing it in the heat of the moment to defend Tab from Jacobar's tantrum, but when you look back on it later, you'll feel rather ashamed at some of the comments in this thread. I agree wholeheartedly with what was said, but definitely not with the way it was said!

At the same time, Jacobar, you're skating on thin ice too. I have never had so much work on this forum since you joined and started posting up threads such as "rate my cosplay" and "guys, buy from me! This is a real business!" or "Please make a cosplay group with me!" I want it stopped and you to reassess the way you do things.

This thread has disappointed me on so many levels.

At this moment he's seething in his bedroom saying that we're all wrong and he's right.
No matter what we say, he won't listen anyway.

He's throwing a complete strop and saying we should all die and that this place is worse than 4chan: so really, it's better if he's gone.. especially if he feels like that =/

Look - maybe things got a little heated, but I refuse to apologise for what I said.
He has made new posts like, every day. All the time. And the subject matter is often always the same.

Anytime anyone has offered advice to him regarding what he has posted; be has thrown in back in the face of the person trying to help. He's done it to me and I just let it slide. But its happened a lot; and what's the point of doing anything, if your not going to accept advice, or contrusctive critism from your peers. Who are - ultimately - trying to help?

Like I said, it wasn't what you'd said at all, nor was it what anyone else had said, I just think that people lashed out in a way that was uncalled for but that might just be me being a soft touch.

Still, I think some of it was uncalled for even with how ridiculous Jacobar has been about things. Anyway, I thought I had locked this, but I will do so now.
