Oh yes I am already rehearsing the windmill spins. I had a breakthrough adjustment to my technique only yesterday. I think I will be able to do it without a single mistake. But the windmill spins are right at the beginning of the skit anyway when I am right at the rear of the stage. For the main fight sequence down the catwalk I hold it with both hands, like a canoe paddle.

Would you like to be in the skit Sephy? I came up with a gag which could involve Queen Amidala. Doesnt require you to move much, just stand there mostly and mime to a line in our audio track that I will edit in from a screen clip. ..Maybe I should tell you what the gag is before you accept.

I don't mind a walk on or a skit either way. If i did a walk on then obv like to have some ep1 chars with me XD but either way im not doing anything aside from this for oct expo 2010!

@Sephy, Got your pm. Sorry I didn't realise you were doing yours for 2011.

So for the skit we need to fill a few places to work one of the main gags. (tis mainly just standing there and then answering a phone) ..Any Star Wars character can do this part...
and if we can find anyone willing to wear a JarJar Binks cosplay (you only have to wear it for the duration of the skit) ..that would be brill. Crossplay Jar Jar Binks equally accepted =P
(JarJar only comes on for a little while and wraps up the skit in the final big gag.)

Oh goody..we now have confirmed from the group..the following cast for the skit so far:-

Qui-Gon Jin - Neomogrox
Admiral Ackbar - Timpey
Clone Wars Anakin - Ryoaki
Darth Maul - Ranma 1-2
R2D2 - R2D2
Yoda - Disembodied voice =P

We have the skit outlined, with plenty of gags. Plenty of time now to put the audio track together and rehearse our parts.

I'm seriously considering joining in in 2010 after all. Just seen Kuma doing Chewbacca and its very tempting to bring out the Han Solo as I'll be the correct height to him. Its not often that happens lol!

Return of the jedi is on

such a sad moment when luke is getting electricuted and vaders thinking so sad,

although on the new return of the jedi(altered) when you see the ghosts at the end the vaders ghost is replaced with haden christensen yey

another sad moment that made me cry in return of the sith (3rd star wars) was when order 66 was executed, can anyone agree with me that this was such a sad moment(music helped alot to it lmao) just makes me appreciate these films so much

Yeah order 66 is such a massive betrayal. It's also sad because the Jedi are singled out and picked off in such a cowardly way, no fair fight. At least Yoda was wily enough to sense the danger behind his back. I didn't feel sorry for those troopers he cut down at all.

i agree steve, in all fairness the jedi on the plant planet did sense something up, because she stopped and her facial expression was like "this isnt right at all " i think one of the saddest ones aswell was the first jedi master, who asked for the help of the clone troopers leading them on, then they just stopped and fired, gladly he managed to deflect and hit a few of them, and the younglins ANAKIN HOW COULD YOU

Order 66 always chokes me up. That sequence itself, and also when Anakin has gone into the classroom in the Jedi temple and the younglings come out from their hiding places.

The Youngling who says: 'Master Skywalker, there are too many of them. What are we going to do?' He looks so trusting, that it breaks my heart every, single time.

The blue Jedi on the plant planet is Aayla Secura, a Twi'lek. I think it sucked she gets no screen time apart from a few seconds in Attack of the Clones and that short stint in Revenge of the Sith because she is such an ace character.

The other Jedi master you're referring to Reiss, who gets gunned down first is Kiardi Mundi (spelling is a bit iffy). He was actually given wuite a mercy killing and killed quickly, because his troops respected him so much as a warrior.

But yeah, I hate, hate, hate that whole scene. (If you look up Order 66 on Wookiepedia you can find out about all the other Jedi who were killed that weren't featured in the movie.

I have to say I have a few gripes with the digitally remastered version of Return of the Jedi. Though my main gripe comes right at the end and actually ruins the ending of the film for me.

It's when the celebration is taking place on Endoor, after Luke has done a traditional Jedi ceremony for Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. When he's looking out into the middle-distance and Obi-Wan and Yoda appear I like it up to this point. Then Anakin appears as Hayden. And as the camera pans out away from them, Obi-Wan and Yoda are looking in one direction, and Anakin is looking in a totally different direction.

It irritates me constantly! >___< I just sit there and seethe (sorry, but I didn't think Hayden Christiansen was very good casting for Anakin).

ANYWAY.

There's a lot of information about characters in the films and their backgrounds before the films and also what happens after the films.

There's also like, pages of information of character you may only see briefly. Its really good reading if you're a Star Wars fan. Plus it keeps you updated with the goings on in the books and Star Wars comics.
