It was my first event last October, and there's really nothing to say except GO! And look up on YouTube - London MCM Expo May 2009 trailer (must add the trailer bit there as it comes up at the top of the list then). All you need to remember is: anime, manga, DVDs, gaming, cosplay, merchandise you wouldn't get in normal stores, one heck of a lot of people, photos, competitions, and celebrities. No offence to the Re-cons but..............they're far too small to even be considered real events to be honest. They're small "meets" for like-minded people who happen to go - I know some people who've been to them before. Don't worry about getting lost. The only likelihood of getting lost is trying to find your way to ExCel on the London Underground on the other lines that will take you to the DLR line that you need to get there (when considering the MCM Expo anyway). They also have a programme with a map available. No worries. Just GO! |

Best advice I can think of regards money is going with friends to split the cost of a hotel room and what not __________________ "I'm goin' in for the kill. I'm doin' it with a drill..."

Sharing a room with friends would be a good idea as well to cover the cost. I don't have to worry about that as NightmareWings lives near Croydon, so I stay with her.
The only other major issue is......the spending. |
