Hey everyone, after some discussions with MoonLily and Telly we have come up with the idea of putting together a Lord of the Rings cosplay group for an event. We are aiming to collect the Fellowship first and then if those spots fill up we can branch out to the other characters.

We don't know exactly when we are going to do this yet, but we have got an idea for the October MCM Expo in 2010... of course it is still open to discussion to all those wanting to be involved. I'm sure we can find a date/event that is suitable for everyone, even if it means postponing until 2011, ^_^

So come on guys... let's all help Middle Earth invade an event!!

This is ace idea. As I made a comment on one of the costume profiles a complete Fellowship group as never been managed. I started my legolas when the first movie was due for release. Have worn him for years and then took a break when the Rings-mania died down a bit.

With the Hobbit on the horizon it would be nice to revist the elf. So I offer up my Legolas if its for Expo in Oct.

I'll need to make a couple of changes. like build new arrows as the ones I have are real. I'll have time.

Hmm.. The only Hobbit left is Samwise and I'm so not the right shape to do him (Not enough armour to hide my tiny frame!)

The question is... Do I fancy the challenge of masking my little girly self in Dwarven Armour!! I'm crazy about LOTR so I really want to take part! Unless anyone else has a character in mind for me?

Will do. At the mo hes only planned his cosplays for the first part on the year. Hes Deppalike on here.

Errrr our Merry MIGHT be changing to another character for the group so i'll keep you updated on that one! ^^

Edit - Just had an idea... we could have both a Strider and an Aragorn... seeing as how it's sort of like two different characters... and the costumes are slightly different...

I'm gonna be busting out the movies for a geek sesh soon too. XD But first of all I have to finish the books (i'm studying them in uni believe it or not.) But we also have to study the films...laaaawl i'm totally going to be taking costume notes when we do. XP
