A BIG Thank You to All.
It's taken me a couple of days to try and get my thoughts in order but I do believe I've
finally gotten my finger on the button which is ready to fire hot hot praise into peoples
faces.

So where to begin.

I want to extend my thanks to Kat and Perrin for this wonderful site we have. The CI website
is tailored for us and I can only imagine the hard work that went into creating it,
maintaining it and then letting us run with it. So thank you to you both and to out lovely
moderators.

As I understand it the cosplay scene in the UK is starting to have some rather large impact
on conventions. More and more conventions and expos are looking out for their cosplayers.
Providing them with basic stuff such as water may sound like a simple idea but it's a bloody
godsend to those who have large bulky fur costumes. We're looked after! A fact I love the
organisers for.

Unfortunately I have begun to forget my main points so before I start to lose all dignity
and sound like a complete and utter ponce, I'd like to thank every single person in the
cosplay community in the UK. Be it the organisers who put on the events to show off our
costumes and get us to stand in an orderly line and make sure we don't die in our hot suits.
Fur or not. To the website hosts who created a place of us to 'hang' out, meet and discuss
things and show off our creations for critic. Lastly, it goes without saying but thank you
to you all, the wonderful cosplayers of the UK.

Since I started cosplaying you have opened my eyes to a truly awesome hobby and some of you
continue to astound me with your creations. Whether it's the level of detail on what might
seem a simple costume, using materials to such a level of professionalism that would rival
even some of the most talented costume designers and lastly your creativity. Over the years
more and more original characters are given a physical embodiment and it's wondrous to
behold.

I hope that as a community we continue to grow and stun the world with just what it is we
can do with a little bit of fandom, a lot of free time and a bucket full of latex. Rock on.

Lots of hot sticky man love,
Shenny. x

WOW ♥
Shenny, you are such a sweetie, reading that almost brought tears to my eyes, in all seriousness!! ♥

I echo Shenny's sentiments - I've only gotten back into the cosplay scene in the past year or so, but I've had so much fun and met so many wonderful people. So much of it is because of Cosplay Island and the amazing people associated with it. So I want to say thank you, too.

Sadly I can't produce such masses of hot, gushing, sticky man love (despite my best crossplay efforts in a suit) so I'll just say, much love from me ♥

Sonia

Cosplay group hug!

This is why I like the UK cosplay scene, as much as I enjoy the hobby. The atmosphere is so nice. There will always be some OMG Dramaz! but for the most part everyone is thoughtful, kind and helpful.

I just wish I'd known more of you lot when I was growing up, would have made my life much better.

We're an awesome Community and I enjoy meeting every single one of you that I get a chance too!

Thanks for making the UK a cosplay community to be PROUD of!

I'll be echoing my own words of praise here as well, to all the friends I've met over the years at cosplay events, to the many MANY amazing cosplayers across the country, to the organisers of all the wonderful cosplay events and to the community itself for bringing a happiness into my life that I never would have though possible

I love each and every one of you!
Stay beautiful

I totally agree. I cannot count the amount of amazing people I have met thanks to cosplay and it's nice to be among like-minded people and to be accepted.

Agreed. You are all such great nice people and I love you all. It's always a pleasure to meet everyone, just a shame about the short space of time a con provides.
I personally have never come across drama or elitism. Everyone are so friendly it's fantastic. ^^

I totally agree ^^ I'd also like ot say a big thank you to all the cosplayers out there. I've not been cosplaying for long but it's a fantastic hobby that for me is changing my life for the better. As for someone like me with alot of anxiety, it gets me out and lets me meet new people and TALK to them without fear.

You're all such wonderful people, I wish I could see you all XD

Aww Shenny, that was so sweet ^_^

I want to agree. I think that the Cosplay scene, while fantastic, often holds masses of drama. This has been pretty much avoided on Cosplay Island and it has made it a complete honour to moderate on here.

I also want to say a massive thank you to Perrin and Kat for the site and an extra thanks to Kat because she is simply amazing ^_^

I agree. She has done an amazing job both with Cosplayisland and with the display that was on at Ayacon.

I've been copslaying for years and this is the first website that I have felt so happy to be part of. I'm so gald that its going from strength to strength. It really helps add to the pluses of the cosplay community today.

Yes, there are negatives and dramas. That happens with any hobby/fandom where there are loads of people invloved. Thankfulyy, the pluses outweigh the negatives.
