Franziska von Karma Vest?
I'm making a Franziska von Karma cosplay costume, and I'm having some truoble with the vest. xD I can't find a pattern that works, as neither me or my mom are very good at altering sewing patterns. xD; If anyone could tell me what they did for the vest if they have done a Franzy costume, that'd be really great.

^^There's a reference.

Thanks a lot! ^_^

Ahh I remember when I did my Franziska last year the waistcoat was the hardest part!
The way I did it was using a normal waistcoat pattern (you can buy them online or just print one off from the internet). However, when cutting out the shape left a lot of material at the end so the length was longer, as her waistcoat is down over her hips.
You'll need to cut the bottom half of the waistcoat depending on your shape, so if you've got quite big hips leave enough material over for the sewing.
I've actually forgotten how I managed to make the waistcoat zig zag across the front, though I think you can get away with just cutting the pattern out normally and fiddle with it afterwards.
As a last resort I am looking and getting rid of my Franziska as I have retired her, so would be willing to sell it to you. It fits a size 10 to 12.

I used a free waistcoat pattern from Burdastyle. I'm not sure if it was this one or not but it seems pretty close to the shape that you're after!
