Teeth Whitening...
This is actually a rather embarassing subject for me, but I'm just compleely unsure of what prodjucts are safe to help whiten your teeth.

Now I know teeth arent SUPPOSED to be white, but my teeth, despite I dont smoke, I dont drink or eat alot of products that dye them and I brush my teeth regually, but they are more yellow then the rest.

I hate my teeth (both in colour and in shape), and this has put me off doing Vampire cosplays because I wanted to show off fangs and such. And since I'm getting round o doing Alucard, I want to be able to bare all.

EDIT: I dont want the horribly white teeth XD Just need to relief the colour a bit

Soooo, if anyone knows any sure products, please tell me~ Thank ya

I know what you mean completely... everyone in my family has naturally yellower teeth - it apparently means they are stronger than naturally white teeth? I don't know, that's something my dentist said. But I really hate my teeth too! I'm always covering my mouth when I laugh or speak -____-

I've been told by friends that they use Crest Whitening Strips from the USA (and swear by it). This is because they contain a higher level of peroxide than the same brand found inside the European Union due to different laws on health/beauty products (I think EU allows at max 9% while in USA it's higher?). I've been hunting down some on ebay.com and definitely going to invest in some! Good luck!!

I've heard good things about Crest Whitestrips.

I used to be really self conscious about my teeth too, they were a bit crooked and I never got braces. But a couple of years ago I went to a dentist and got porcelain veneers on my upper and lower incisors which fixed the crookedness and made them whiter too (but not unnaturally white). It can be quite expensive, but it depends where you go. If you get them done abroad it can be a fraction of the price.

what you need is kryolan ivory tooth enamel. (white is too white, it looks really freakish)

i have a dark tooth because of an accident i had as a young teen (bike accident) and have used it for photoshoots, the stuff is pretty effective and as long as you avoid eating it won't rub off.

O_O

Umm... is putting peroxide on your teeth/in your mouth really such a good idea?!

That's a good point, but if it's something by a big name company approved by dentists (and used by dentists) such as Crest I should hope it's at a safe level(!) It's been out since 2001! - I have heard horror stories of people using stuff from unbranded names in China and so on, and I'd hate someone to use that!! I wanted to point out it included peroxide so people could research it and check with their dentists.

As well as that, often things come over from the US after a few years - (kind of irrelevant) it took 3 years after moving back to the UK for my mum's medicine to be released as safe into the EU because of what it contained, but she took it for a long time in USA?! The different laws of what stuff can contain in the USA/EU seem so odd to me sometimes!

I had my teeth whitened last year via my dentist--it's actually a bleaching process involving gel in trays that fit over your teeth =) (Painfully expensive but worth it, I think!)

Demented Kid, if you can't get anywhere with the whitestrips (which sound like an awesome option!), I think there's whitening stuff that can be painted onto your teeth to aid whitening as well.

If you don't smoke or drink or eat a lot of things that would dye your teeth than it's probably the natural colour of your teeth (my dentist told me this when I whined about my tooth colour!)
It's always worth talking to your dentist about what options there are on the market =)

I had mine done in march. Zoom2 for the win! It left then a normal looking white (so super hollywood need sunglasses when you smile sort of white) but a natural colour. It was expensive but I got a 10 month interest free plan from optical express so I could spread it out at least. And for me I had hated my teeth for as long as I could remember, so I figured spending money to make me feel happier and more confident was a good investment! You can just go for the home diy kit, which is about £300 ish but does actually work, I got that as part of my treatment as a home 'top up' system. (it has a much higher concentration that you can buy off the shelf anywhere in the world - sort of like prescription drugs)

Mose of the stuff you get in the shops is useless, and trust me I've tried them all.

But have a serious think, at the end of the day you can always earn more money, and being happy and confident is worth far more than anything you could ever earn at work.

Those crest whitening strips are good. My Aunt sent some over from America because she's had such good results. But they would be the stronger USA version. I guess all the UK versions aren't that great.

Ive been trying the pearl drops tooth paste myself.
It takes time, but it seems to be doing a decent job of brightening my teeth, cant tell how far it goes yet though.

Plus its only around £3 or £4.
