i need to glue some velcro onto vinyl and aren't sure what to use, i have tried hot glue but it peels right off.
Any suggestions?

If that doesn't work then it's possible to hand sew on. To make it easier use a strong needle and a pair of pliers. That will get through it.

I am inclined to agree with Uber-nerd here.
Is this the general fabric backed vinyl that we all know and love? Then you can hand-stitch velcro onto it, use long stitches to prevent too much tearing though.

Evostik Impact ought to work, if you do choose to glue. Just be sure to apply the glue correctly.
