Help choosing a detailed cosplay
I need help choosing a cosplay that has loads of detail within the design!
I've been cosplaying for around 6 years and have decided to base my dissertation on cosplay (I'm a costume student).

For what I want to do, I need a character that is both highly recognisable and has a costume that is very detailed. I have been looking at Cinderella from the live action film and Zelda from the Twilight Princess. I'm not keen on picking the first thing i think of and was hoping that you wonderful people would have some good suggestions that might never have crossed my mind.

I'd prefer the character to be female yet I'm open to any suggestions at all!!

I don't mind about the character being overdone or anything like that, I only ask the character be highly recognisable so in theory I can walk up to any random attendee at a convention and the likelihood that they know who I am is like 95%

Thank you!
(What I'm currently considering..)

If you haven't already you should discuss with your supervisor whether to use live action or reference sources. The main difference being live action costumes exist already; you can research and replicate how the original was made. Whereas a reference source requires you to make the decisions of which materials to use and how to structure it.

Both have their merits, you should go for the one that reflects your course and your specialisation best.
Good luck

Either is good for me. I've got to be capable of realising costumes from designs that designers provide so its not an issue.
I just need suggestions right now so I have a lot of options to look at with my lecturers.
