Hey guys I need help sorting out my wig for my Expo costume.

I'm not really sure about what would be the best length to buy. It has some bangs to it and a small ponytail low down.
I was thinking something like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=250408545479
I'm not really 100% on anything as this would be my first wig in 4 years of cosplay (I used my own hair alot.).

http://cgi.ebay.com/D-GRAY-MAN-ALLEN-WALKER-medium-SILVER-GREY-wig-cosplay_W0QQitemZ310138363997QQihZ021QQcategoryZ60188QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262 http://cgi.ebay.com/RIKU-SILVER-GREY-medium-long-layered-wig-cosplay-KH2_W0QQitemZ400046180996QQihZ027QQcategoryZ60188QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262 http://cgi.ebay.com/Short-medium-SILVER-GREY-layer-wig-cosplay_W0QQitemZ400045293829QQihZ027QQcategoryZ60188QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262 A little more expensive but definitely worth it. I'd say the first one would be my personal favourite over all. |

Just wondering do you think this on would work? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PW216-Silver-Final-Fantasy-VII-Rock-Party-Wig-Free-Ship_W0QQitemZ180349000873QQihZ008QQcategoryZ1063QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262 |

I'm not a fan of the layers as looking at the ref images his hair is all one length but that should work too. |

I think it's slightly misleading because it's on a wig head and wig heads generally have smaller heads than we do therefore it looks longer X_x; [It feels nice though lol!] And Cosplay Wig for me sent the item to me in 5 days I think!! It's weird, I always get packages from HK and China within 5 days haha! [Apart from odd occasions when it takes 1-2 weeks... but otherwise it's usually quick for me!] |

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d40/konoha_ice_climber/Cosplay%20progress/100_0650.jpg I'm a little unsure of where to begin. I think some of it would have to brought forward to make the bangs and the pointed part at the front seems easy enough. How much should it be split, and would I just need to tie the back? |

You want to find the ear pieces on the wig (it's the corner on each side that shape the wig behind the ears) once you have those section the hair so the split is over the back of the ear pieces before it slopes down behind the ear. http://www.todaystylist.com/honeycomb_cap_inside.jpg Anything behind that you put into the tail. Use the hair glue stuff I use on my hair and then blow dry it on a high heat, I did that on my noctis wig the back was spikey for like a week after i did that, glue+heat=win? I can pick you up a pot next time i go in there if you want! its like a tenner i think :3 |

Really a strong hairspray would of worked just fine, especially with a simple style like Rinoa's. |

Like Demented said, hairspray will work fine for a nice simple style like that. The other things you can use include hair glue and putty like Got2B glued and Fructis Manga Head. Just remember not to use too much of any product or it becomes more difficult to style. ^^ |

It just took me ages to tie the back. What do you think? |

Looking at the back of the cap it seems very high up the head which might cause problems when you come to putting it on (a fully stretched wig for me will normally reach half way down the neck). Best thing you can do is to try it on. Tie up the pieces you want at the front to make sure you keep them separate incase it does come out of the tail. |

I don't have any pins I think. Last edited by Ice-climber (16 May 2009 - 13:51) |
