Right now I'm so frustrated with my hair. After a slight accident last month I now have short bits on top of my head and in my bangs. Although my hair is growing fast (1 inch in 4 weeks) its still very mullety.

As I use alot of my hair for cosplays its really made me have to change my palns for Ayacon.

So Abel is being delayed, and Dr Brown may have to be cancelled.

Grrrrrr!

Can I complain that I woke up, all ready to go and take in my robe... only to find my sister's boyfriend sleeping on the floor in the sitting room where my sewing stuff is set up atm? (I'm going to anyway. XD) =_______= I'm this close to going in there, standing on him to get to it, and then start sewing. I've only got an hour before I head off to the gym now too. Grrrrrr~.

Practise makes perfect. Get some scrap fabric and just play around with it. If you're still worried, use a wider stitch (and a smaller needle if you're hand sewing) and make sure you have an unpicker on hand.

Yeah, people who wan to control what the whole community cosplay (no exaggeration).

Some people don't seem to get that cosplay isn't some form of fashion rebellion. It's just a fun creative outlet.

Wow, what an ass. It's nice to see unfamiliar costumes, for sure, but there's no need to be a jerk about it.

On another note, grrr, zippers! Specifically their refusal to work along with my fabric and my sewing machine all at once! >_<

Invisible zips! D: for some reason they never work for me... I can't seem to sew them in without them showing. I'm doing it the way all the tutorials say to do it but for some reason it never works ;_;

Invisible zips are definitely ugh. I'm working with them for the first time and I ended up having to handsew right down the length of it to get the fabric folded over enough to hide it. Not keen for a round two with those!

And talking of handsewing, here's a frequent cause of rage:

Sometimes they're unknottable, sometimes they're not. That one wasn't, and it was right in the middle of a long seam D: I mean, it's not the end of the world 'cause you just need to unpick a few stitches to get a thread end long enough to tie off, but it just makes the whole thing take even longer *sob*

THAT.

YES.

I have to endure these knots that seem to come out of nowhere all the time! Mainly due to using cheap thread. Buy more expensive thread and the problem is a lot less frequent.

I CANT TELL IF TAYUYA'S HAT IS PIPED OR BEADED ON THE TOP FROM ANY PICTURES AT ALL. Also I cant find a riveter with large enough rivets to do the hat with. You'd think JL would sell riveters for jeans not for stupid paper cards.

I need a giant pencil sharpener to make this Aeris staff look right and tokonatsu is just around the corner.

Goes off to have a panic attack in a quiet corner.

Arghles, living in weird limbo is NOT conducive to making cosplay ¬_¬ We're supposed to be moving house, erm, at some point soonish... So I have fabric piling up, and time running out, and I haven't started sewing yet. Argh! Darned stupid needing-more-costumes-than-initially-thought ¬_¬
