I suppose there are two pigeonholes that other people put me into... these days, when people suggest a character for me, they tend to have massive baps that are at least partly on show >_< And often never smile...

Uh... I don't really know xD At first I just picked characters who I knew people would recognise. I only picked to cosplay Kairi because my friends were being Sora and Riku, so I just thought I'd fill in for them haha.

Since then, I've just picked characters that I really do love, but are undercosplayed. Or things that I just get a spontaneous burst of inspiration for (That's how Kim Possible and Android 17 happened!).

Gaara then! XD Like Sillabub's Chun-Li, I'm in a few phone address books as gaara... I believe a few of them still can't get used to calling me by my real name!

Since then people do tend to suggest small, sadistic, crazy characters to me!

Right now? monsters, creatures and mascots. it's pretty much all I make these days

I tend to prefer doing less done cosplays but still have some recignision from fans of the series. Cosplays that allow me to teach myself new skills are good too

Character types...perhaps many of the females characters I had done and have planned are slightly tomboyish.

I'd say Hexi is a shojo cosplayer Anything bright, colourful, she's on it.

Hmm I can honestly say I cant see much correlation between my cosplay, used to be stuck on crossplaying, then started to do ladies. I try to avoid armour because I suck at it T_T But I have quite a few planned with some U_U:
I guess it's just characters I love and designs I really like!
I also try to stick to characters that I can pull off looks wise...

not sure i fit anything specific with my cosplays. ive always been told i adher more, and represent more, the gentlemen characters, the "i will enthral you" type male character, with charm and.... stuff XD

though if anyone can see any patterns in my work, then id be interested to know myself

I second this my charming Balthier, for who has more gentlemanly charm than Balthier and Tuxedo Mask? I think you like people with a sort of air of mystery about them ^^

As for me on the "pigeon-holed as someone you're famous for doing" front I think that is hard for me because I have cosplayed so many different people. I get called Duke/Ruiji, Sakura, Zelda (or just 'Princess', Fran, and many others. Mainly people call me by "Tetra" which is my cosplay name I guess. I think it's difficult for people to choose any one outfit to call me by because I tend to have new costumes at each event!

I do a different Phoenix Wright character every con XD

I'm not sure, my girlier characters used to be coy and/or aloof (Shizuka, Ema, Misa, Roxas, Harley...) but looking at the planned female cosplays I'm not sure anymore. D>

My male cosplays are the brattish teen type (save for the rather taken aback fellow in my avatar XD)

...Actually I'd say that the people you want to cosplay mainly seem to be tanned people with pale blonde hair (Marik, Klavier, Koalla...) but you have lots of variety ^___^

i don't know why but i always seem to want to play guy characters more than girls.

so i suppose you could call me a shim cosplayer (she and she put together)

I cosplay as a tribute to the artists behind the original.

So I usually go for pretty shiny things or characters/sources I really, really like.
The process of making it and whether or not it suits me isn't really something I think about much.

i tend to do more the dark female cosplays lol the more goth type but i do have one or two that are colour lol what type would i be classed as to do cosplays like guilt-na vampire doll or freya chobits or even lulu final fantacy

I think I can now officially consider myself pigeonholed as Chun Li - I had several people over the weekend (including a few who do know my real name) call me that XD

At the moment, with one exception, they have all been wearing purple and/or been blonde;

Next years character is blonde and in two years I have another blonde purple combo and another one that bucks the trend.


Otherwise I'm know to alot of people know me as pyramid head.

I'm the female warrior/fighter type.
I do martial arts (well haven't for a while due to cost but will go back into it soon enough), I have an athletic build and I'm fairly tall. I'm all for melee!

As with cosplaying different versions of the same character....

Well I've done BloodRayne at the May 2009 London MCM Expo, but I want to return as her time and time again - same version. Next time I wear that costume I want to have a couple off additions *smiles wickedly.*

And with my next one, Rose from The Legend of Dragoon, I am doing her standard costume, but want to do her dragoon armour some time in the future as well.
