What do you want to see sold at conventions?
Hey everyone!

I was just curious to see what sort of things you would like to see being sold in dealer's rooms/on stalls at conventions.

Do you want to see more individual items like handmade jewellery or accessories?
More cosplay props?
Wigs and costumes?
Posters, badges and other cheaper merch?
Merch specific to certain shows, movies or games (e.g. more Dangan Ronpa stuff, more Animal Crossing gear or more classic movie paraphernalia)?
Doujinshi?
Do you want to see more Japanese or Korean CDs and DVDs sold on stalls?
How about manga? It's so rare to find a stall selling manga books anymore.
LGBT swag?
Japanese fashion items?
Japanese food?
Other food?
Anything you can think of~

What do you guys think?
What sort of stuff do you wish conventions sold in their dealers rooms or on their stalls?

The stuff I normally buy in the dealer's room is:
Nerdy t-shirts
Small-press comics
Hair accessories

I don't tend to buy the "usual" merch, either because it doesn't interest me (wallscrolls and display figures), or because a lot of it is available significantly cheaper via ebay/Amazon or those dealers when they're not at a con (DVDs manga, cosplay costumes)

And yes I know stallholders have to cover their costs, but if they can't make without a massive price-hike, maybe they should reconsider attending as a dealer?

EDIT: I also like to see "wierd stuff". Things I;d never expect - like the geeky tea blends at MCM London in May.

I would like to see a make up stand. Make up for varoius cosplay, the odd stuff( false eyelashes, fake nails, etc etc etc) as well as normal make up and have a make up chair, you could pay to have your make up done professionally, or like me and a few other guys have make up done if you are doing a female character. Or just when you forgot something in your make up bag
What do you think?

I've seen stands for Snazarro facepaints, and some false eyelashes/nail on Lolita stands, but I am surprised someone like Urban Decay don't have stalls at the larger events.

The makeover idea sounds like it would be popular with guys and gals, but I wonder how a company could deal with the large space needed and slow turnover (I spent two hours having my makeup done for a photoshoot last week!)

Maybe we could find a makeup company who could have a main sales stall with a chair or two on the side for bookable makeovers (like how photoshoot stalls organise themselves). If they could guarantee a sale at the end of the treatment, they might see it as worthwhile. And if not, maybe they could treat it as advertising or a way to draw interest?

I barely buy anything at cons these days. I've had to ban myself from buying stuffed toys as I have too many of those. Usually quirky jewellary/hair accessories, keyrings, little things basically. I don't buy posters or figurines or the collectable stuff most stalls seem to sell these days.

I do look at trying to buy comics and manga when there but usually the stalls are crowded and I can never get a good look, or there's a dealer hovering over you which makes me feel pressured and I just run away.

Seeing less and less of those stands anyway.

Honestly i would like to see some more figures as i don't like buying them online but the ones at conventions are very limited

I would like to see more cosplay/costumes and random/funny t-shirts. Also it would be nice to see a better variety of food being sold; I always have to leave the convention just to go and find some decent food
