Traveling on Megabus
Hey

I was wondering if anyone on here has traveled to a con by Megabus before? I'm using them to get to May Expo from Liverpool and I was just wondering what they are like with baggage and would I be able to bring a big prop with me.

I've travelled by megabus alot lately, they're not too bad prop wise, but if it's something like a buster sword, they might charge you, seeing it as an extra piece of luggage

I almost always go by megabus and they've never charged me for extra baggage despite having way more than my fair share of luggage.
Only problem is though, 99.9% of the time they're late. Very late.

I traveled with them recently from London to Birmingham and back. I had a large quite heavy suitcase as well as two props which were wrapped together with cardboard so it appeared as one prop. No one said anything to me and nothing was damaged. I think it depends on the driver to be honest.

Victoria coach station is the most depressing place on earth. I travel by train just to avoid it.

I used to travel with them all the time, Price is good ^^ But I had issues with baggage alot before now
Being moaned at that my suitcase wasnt the right size, That I had too much. I had to moan and complain to get my stuff on there but never was charged. Had dirty looks also XD
I used to go from Manchester to London so was about 5 hour trip. They wasnt too bad with time keeping but now and again we was left waiting for the bus to turn up ¬¬
Just be prepared for no toilet breaks and children screaming!

For £9 i'm not expecting much really! Will be bringing headphones and a good book to pass the time

I'm sure I can bribe the driver with some haribo or something to let me on with props

I've travelled with them quite a few times and personally had no problems - I once had a massive staff with me too which technically counted as outsize luggage but the driver was super nice and just let me put it in the overhead rack as 'hand baggage.'

They once put my luggage in the wrong place and left it on the side of the road at a half-way point. Friend and I had to have it mailed back to us. Had passports, consoles...all sorts.

Thank the gods that someone was honest and handed them in!

get the seats at the front no one ever sits there and you might be able to have both seats usually the driver leaves his bag there but if you are nice they are happy to move it for you and you can have more leg room plus more space

Tavelled on them a fair few times you know they do trains too
