How much do you spend at con?
How much do you usually spend at these thig and what is out there?

DVD'S, Comics, book, watches, goggles, morphers, transformers, posters

What kinds of things are avalivbe at these places and how much do you spend on avarage ? I wasen't gonna take much money but if there was a lot of lets say, Power ranger or Transformer related things I might take more and be broke.

Lets say the London ones, I don't know if it varies for region or something

It really is like asking how long is a piece of string! I take maybe £100-£200, some people manage on less and others bring more. Depends on much you plan on spending on food and booze- usually budgeting at least £20 per day is an idea for that. Then you can spend next to nothing on merch or go all out. I find I'm spending less on merch these days because better deals can often by found online. It can be nice to rustle through the bring and buy though.

I just buy autographs and or photo shoot photos at London Film And Comic Cons. The only time I really splurged out was on my brother for his birthday and yea you may say it's not much money, but I paid £25 for three wall arts (marvel and DC) for him.

I tend to not spend a lot od cash at events. My usual haul is:

One or two t-shirts
Half a dozen small-press comics
Handful of badges/keyrings/phone charms
Maybe some art postcards or a retro videogame, or a hat.

Buddy we need to discus you're use of the word "splurged" I spend that much on random Digimon or TF merchanise from ebay every couple weeks, I don't really want to spend to much so this is good to hear. I can handle £30-40, but ive spend way to much this month already

Sorry about all the questions! I like to know all the details before I do something new

I tend to spend more on food and drink than anything at the stalls, I will buy artwork if I see something I really love. But for me its more about buying food and energy drinks to survive the weekend!

It's fine and lol, I was going to buy myself a Portal APSHPD and my mom said not to since it wasn't 100% (it was at the stall with the Ted talking bears)

And I know the feeling with the Digimon and TF merch, I used to splurge on cosplays, but I'm having to slow down very much as I'm saving up for a holiday in Orlando FL next year xD

I vary =) For the bigger cons such as Aya/Ame or any of the MCMs i tend to bring about £300. I tend to spend alot of my money in the bring and buys with Anime & Manga splurges but i also love to buy figures and statues so usually have my eye out for them. I`ll spend any amount of money on any Berserk related mercandise i find, since it tends to be a rairty to find outsid eof Ebay. As soon a si see anything (i dont already have ^^; ) i snap it up!!
Some of the smaller cons i can happily survive on £100 and still bring some home with me. I was doing well at the recent Cardiff film & comic con until i saw a Berserk figurine and spent the remaining of my money on it =P

I dont tend to go mad in the dealers room these days so im happy with a few little badges and keyrings and maybe a DVD. I love looking through posters but I dont have much wall space anymore XD Id rather use the bulk of my money to eat well during the convention as I can always buy stuff online later

About £100 usually for me.

But when I was unemployed... it was a lot less (like, under £10 less)...

My advice is to know the prices of the things you want to buy. If you don't know what you can get them for else where, don't buy!

I tend to vary, I don't generally buy much at cons, so I usually take about £200, but this includes food and tube fairs too and emergency money. Usually I might buy a T-shirt or a plushie. I generally take more money then I intend to use purely so I have money in case something goes wrong, like I lose my ticket or train tickets, etc.

Depending on the con, some stores may put the price of an item down on the last day in order to shift stock, so unless I really really would like an item, I will usually wait until the last day to see if I can scope some deals.

It depends how much you want to spend on food and travel. Honestly, it varies. The most I have spent so far is £50, which is everything I took and there again I don't have loads and loads of money. Also, for power rangers and transformers stuff, it depends which con you go to. At MCM comic cons there is always a range and I know I've seen some power rangers/transformers related stuff. Usually I get posters, gifts for friends, plushies, t-shirts... that kind of thing or even bits for cosplay such as Sebastian's pocket watch from black butler. So yeah, I'd take the most you want to spend, then it's there for if you find stuff!

I spend everything.

I am quite possibly the worst example of self control out there when it comes to con budgeting, try as hard as I might. (Last con I bought the first Vocaloid-related item I saw - a few snacks, random things I can't even remember buying and a pikachu onesie later, and my £70 was gone.)

Whatever you do, think before you buy. ^w^

Depending on the con, you'll usually find a wide range of things for sale pertaining to your interests~ ^v^ (Sorry this reply is late)

It depends on how much I have been able to save XD, but the things I usually buy are either key rings, t-shirts or figures sometimes even plushies but I mainly buy for other people instead of myself
