Sub Zero cosplay material
My fiancee wants to cosplay as classic Sub Zero in April for Dee-Con. He's putting it together himself, or rather he's buy the pieces and I'm doing the sewing. I was wondering what fabric I should use to make the blue over armour thingy. It looks like it should be metallic and sort of shiny, but I'm not sure. I was also going to sandwich some foam between two layers of fabric for the chest to make it stiffer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated XD Thank you!

Yes I think that idea will work, sandwich an outer layer of metallic blue fabric with a middle layer of soft batting / quilt wadding and then the inner fabric layer. Mark out the diagonal patterns onto fabric with dress makers chalk and sew the layers together along these lines using your sewing machine. That will produce a quilted look like the ref image. Good luck.
