Cracked Sword Help
I have a sword that I am using for Sweet Pea from Sucker Punch and it was a crack of about 5/6cms on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to fix this problem. I still need to paint the sword and it will be strapped to my back at the expo so it won't get handled a lot.

Yup. Makes a big difference.

Although in general you'll want to join the two surfaces of the crack with a good glue (what type depends on the material its made of). And possibly wrapping in tape or similar to strengthen the join. Although you'll want to sand the edges of the tape to hide the join, before repainting.

Plastic can be a tricky one because many adhesives won't apply to certain types. If the type of plastic will take well with super glue I would recommend building up the recess underneath using something like a wood filler and then using the super glue and baking soda to fill the final section of the gap and sand back with a light abrasive to achieve a flawless finish. This method will then take acrylic paint well

Edit: gust found a YouTube vid to explain the glue and soda http://youtu.be/6EXgtoakys4

You could try a silicone filler.
