Smiffy's. They do a lot of different costumes, I tried to get a green kimono made by them once for Count D. I think I have a link to a UK based shopping site that sells a lot of smiffy's costumes. Other places would be Amazon.co.uk or your local high street. There's a couple of shops in my town that sells all Smiffy's stuff and they do wigs too, I think they're like a halloween/joke shop. I don't think they have websites tho.... You could try googling Tickles (one of the shops) I'm unsure if they have a site, but when you google make sure to check the "sites only from the UK" box.

EDIT: http://www.allfancydress.com/default.aspx
They're mostly naughty nurses but a couple look less kinky and more nursish.

I only know of one actual uniform shop, it's called Alexandra.
http://www.alexandra.co.uk/
It's where I got my lab coat for a Hatori Sohma costume.
They've got a plain nurses dress so that should work perfectly for you.

At the mention of Smiffys, never buy their wigs please! I've only ever seen a smiffy wig work for an Axel cosplay. Aside from the punky style wigs (that you'll generally want to reweft to make thicker anyway) their wigs are generally poor quality and don't look good.

I think your best option is the uniform shop. We used to have an Alexandra here but I think it's gone now so buying online seems to be your best option but I know a couple nurses so I'll ask around where they get their uniforms from ^^

Also yes, Smiffys = bad. I've used the hair from their wigs before to thicken up better quality yet thin wigs, and I've had a customer bring one to me once for styling (thankfully I seem to be good at making cheap look expensive, though I would never scrimp on a customers' wig if I was buying from my suppliers of course!). The hair is very corse and plasticy which isn't good for natural looking wigs, but it sure helps to beef up wigs for those with big hair because it sticks up a lot better I've found ^^

ANYWAY!! Nurse uniforms. Have you considered trying to make it yourself or looked for a pattern anywhere? Buying a proper uniform might be expensive, I dunno, but you could probably find a nurse fancy dress pattern that isn't actually kinky ^__^

weeeeeell actualy there are alot of uniform shops in hull ( side note: thats where tetra and ryuk mean) i would know, i have to buy lab PPE not for cosplay but work and college, nurses uniforms from there will be avalible, along with certain online places, but the highstreet retailers arnt very expensive in comparison for the real thing in this case ( its a rare niche) due to the clothing be needed for work and compannies not wanting to pay large amounts for a uniform, i'll have alook in the city center in a couple of hours for you and get back to this though, as im in the lab right now >.> typing this on the spectrometer's computer while i wait for printouts.

3 reasons really, 1 material in Hull sucks, and unfortunatly I respect the character to much to put him into crappy material lol secondly if I was to buy proper material *from dream fabrics O_O more like price nightmare fabrics* it would cost probably more than the actual outfit, my mom *who was a cycling nurse for old people* said hers never cost more than 9.99 and I honestly dont mind paying up to 20. LastlyI have alot going on at the moment what with college and moving!!! I happen you can relate to that ^.^ *moving = muchos work and lame times* I just dont have the time for an outfit that would look infinately better if I bought one I mean its not like im buying an outfit off ebay that would cost 50-100 pounds this is something govornment standard you know
