anyone know any hair suppliers?
ok, so i'm going to be needing "hair" for my mystic when i get to that stage, but i have very little knowledge about actual fibre types.

i'm lucky to have a mum who knows how to make wigs, but she hasn't done it in many years, and all the material names have changed, but she can put me on the right track practically.

so here's my questions:

1) i think i'm needing kanekalon... i think... am i right in this?

2) where the *&£! do i actually buy the stuff from, and what is the weight to quantity ratio (i've seen like... 500g packs, but how much hair is 500g's)

any help is appreciated!

ALTERNATLEY!

long wigs i could cut and glue down would do the trick too! longish ones, sorta 50cm length. so any decentish, but reasonalbe priced wigshop details would also be appreciated!

I actually have a wig/hair shop near me that sell kanekalon hair by the dozen. Lol Or just "synthetic" hair as a pack I have here says.

But I'm gonna be visiting the shop this week to get hair for one of my cosplays. I know a HUGE wad is like £3 for kanekalon and in different colours too.

I could see if they have the colour you are wanting and take photos for you?

Yes, I believe Kanekalon is what you're after.
I'm after some long pieces to add to my Queen Nehelenia wig. I did a search on eB for "Kanekalon" and saw some packs for like 0.50p

Also a place that was recommended for extension pieces was this one
http://www.doctoredlocks.com/catalog/Silky-Straight-Kanekalon-Braid/
seems pretty cheap. I'm trying to figure if they have like a UK warehouse to post from direct..

For completed wigs I would recommend Yankenshop on eBay. I used a long blonde wig from them to style up my Machi wig, they're cheap, they ship fast, they have a pretty good selection and the wigs are all kanekalon.

There's also these guys but I've never bought anything from them, so I don't know what their customer service is like (the kanekalon extensions are listed as "silky KK" ).

Thanks for that link Sillabub *click - add to favourites* ^^, think I'll order from there - when my wig arrives (so I can be sure it is actually jet black and not dark brown.)

All extensions seem to be pretty damn pricey if you want clip on ones! X_x I want clip on extensions for my real hair, and I only need like 5 LOL! I'm considering just buying extensions to give myself a fringe so I don't need much, the cheapest I've found is a pack of 8 for £10 - still that's pretty pricey for a fringe...
Anyone know a place with cheap clip on extensions? ='D

If all else fails I could just cut a fringe in my hair but I'd prefer clip ons so that I wouldn't have to live with a fringe for months till it grows out xD [And there's no point in me paying for a wig because my hair's already the perfect length...]

And yes I've looked in the other hair extensions thread, still uber expensive X_x

I got my Sephiroth hair from a shop in Manchester. Four large bags of the hair and 20 clips cost me £8 in total. Its from www.paulshairworld.co.uk . Its based in Manchester

Ah, I've been on that site. I couldn't find any really cheap ones... it gave me a load of links and when I clicked on them all I could find were expensive clip on extensions X_x;

Do I just suck at searching for things? XD;

Sorry, it appears that the link I gave you has now changed. That isn't for the Paul's Hair World I go to anymore. This is the correct link http://www.pauls-hair-world.com/ You should be able to find cheap hair there. I used the Outre Pony Tail in Snow which isn't listed on the website for Sephiroth. They have all the other colours still http://www.pauls-hair-world.com/default.aspx?p=1175 . I found it very easy to use. It is loose through so you would need to create a way to attach to the clips. I created knots and then attached them to the clips. They have lasted well.
