Video games question/discussion
Has anyone seen the latest Naruto game in any shops? It's Naruto Ninja Destiny 2 for the DS. It's starting to get annoying because I preordered it from GAME and both the shop and the website say it's not released yet even after Nintendo stated it had been on their website.
They did this with Ultimate Ninja 3 where Game and Gamestation never had it in and their websites said it wasn't released, although I was lucky that I found it by accident in Tesco a couple of days after the release date. (In fact, their websites still state UN3 is not released yet.)

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I'm curious to know if this has happened with other games and not just Naruto. Something similar happened to me with Chibi Robo but I think that was more about lack of stocks than anything.

I also want to apologise to anyone on here who works for a video game shop incase I've accidently offended them. I understand that it's not your fault, since most of the staff I spoke to don't seem to understand what's going on either.

And, slightly unrelated but, does anyone know if the gamecube Naruto games (Clash of Ninja) were ever released in England? I have asked around at most of my local video game stores but no one seems to know much.
Thanks to anyone who can answer these questions <3

Hmm, that's weird, I had a look on gamespress for you and Ninja Destiny 2 isn't listed. It isn't on Wikipedia either. Or Play. Or the GAME site, for that matter. It's like the game that doesn't exist. Very mysterious!

Anyway, Amazon is listing it as a 31 March release, so it seems like it's been put back and Nintendo just haven't updated their site yet.

meh, this happened with Grandia Xtreme in this country. In 2001/2002 they released details of it in some games magazine (I can't remember what one) and gave us some lovely previews and trailers... then it seems it never got released for the UK, or even Europe. Details are so hard to find!

For me, it's been with Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon on DS. A game that came out but there were very limited stocks of it (one GAME employee I spoke said that his store only got 2 copies in and none since). It's listed as out on alot of sites but they also say "out of stock" as well.

Right now, I want Namco Bandai to get their fingers out with Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. It's subject to some senseless delay.

BTW, Turns out the Clash games were released but they were a very limited release by the looks of it. I've seen them in a couple of second hand shops in Central London. Clash Revolution 1 & 2 on Wii are pretty easy to find though (2 came out in February).

I haven't seen any new Naruto games on the DS arrive in my store lately. And the girl who buys all her Naruto games from us hasn't popped by either (we have many regular customers, some we know by name lol).

Part of me is happy about this however, as no offence to Naruto fans but I'm sick of seeing yet more games based on it.
Why, I still ask, can't they release a Sailor Moon game over here or something similar? haha

That's very sweet of you <3 thanks ^-^ I find you have to know where to look and what to put into the search box in order to find what you're looking for (on GAME at least) With Ultimate Ninja 3 all the sites kept giving later release dates like that but I still managed to find it 2 days after it was released, so I'm hoping it's not happening again.

That's because Marth is awesome 8D but I suspect it may be that so many people pre-order the games from the websites that they run out of stock for the shops. it's just a theory though. Thanks for the heads up for Clash of Ninja XD I have both the Wii ones already ^^;;

Thanks ^^ yeah I feel that way about some other games aswell, it's like there're a ton of games released all at once that're based on one thing and it gets frustrating, it makes me think "come on, release something I actually like for a change". I think there was a Sailor Moon game but it was never released outside Japan, the same with the Playstation and Gameboy Cardcaptor Sakura games (I was going to import them but couldn't) I think what frustrates me most about Naruto games though is that pretty much all of them have the same story line and the later releases just have a little extra to them. It's all Chunin exam/Tsunade retrieval/Sasuke retrieval. I only really play them because of Itachi lol I do prefer the ones with original storys to them.
I really like the Ultimate Ninja series, so I'm hoping the Shippuden versions will be released this year. Mostly because I want to see what moves Shikamaru does to torture his opponants when they're stuck in his Shadow Possession (It's great when he does it to a serious character too and makes them do ballet poses)

Well Shippuden is starting in America soon so the games will probably come after it's shown here. Saying that I think the Shippuden Clash games are very similar to Clash Revolution.
