Good fabric shops in London?
I'm planning to make a Shingeki no Kyojin-cosplay next year, but have trouble finding the fabric for the jacket.
I'm also going on a class trip to London in a few weeks, so I thought I could also look there.
I already searched for some stores on the internet, but do you have any recommendations where I should look?

It depends where in London you are! Most built up areas have at least one fabric shop. I know there is one Rolls and Reams which is in Lewisham and that is usually my go to place for nondescript fabrics I need.

However, Shepherd's Bush Market and Goldhawk Road is a cosplayer's GOLD MINE! It has so much to choose from and a damn sight more than your standard small store.

Goldhawk is usually my first choice for anything I need that is specific, silks, velours, spandex, etc.

I also know of a few FabricWorlds dotted around London but the only one I know of is in Kingston?

Hope this helps!

EDIT: If your search doesn't reap any benefits I know a fair few people who have bought their jackets from here and heard GREAT things about it. Embroidered patches, etc. and it may be cheaper than buying fabric I can understand wanting to make your own from scratch though!

What Bambi said...! Goldhawk Road is excellent. There's a Goldhawk Road tube station on Circle or Hammersmith & City lines & the fabric shops are right there.

Good luck.
