What is kigurumi-nuigurumi?
I'm actually unsure of where to post this because from what I understand, kigurumi is a type of cosplay isn't it?
The reason I ask is because I recently got some naruto plushes and on the tag's they're called kigurumi-nuigurumi and I was just wondering what that meant. I always thought those particular plushes were known as 'cosplay plushes', like the Fruits Basket ones of the characters dressed in animal outfits. Thanks to anyone who can answer this.

Kigurumi is a type of cosplay where one wears a mask and a skin coloured zentai suit in order to make themselves look like a doll or figure of an anime character. It looks rather scary in my opinion, it lacks... human.

I see.... So, they make themselves up to look like a doll? *shudders* To each their own I guess.

It techinically referes to mascot outfits *I refare to the giant kon at amecon08* but the dollers side of it is a relatively new side of kigurumi ^.^

Its mainly creepy but there are pretty cool groups at certain cons, its also mostly guys in the outfits.

I've heard that the reasoning behind kigurumi is that it achieves a better likeness of whatever character you're dressed up as, since human faces don't have the weird anime proportions.

"Nuigurumi" is just a generic name for a plush toy.

If remember rightly "kigurumi" is also used to describe the Disneyland style mascot characters.

So kiguruminuigurumi (all one word) just literally means Cosplay/Mascot Plush?
I'm curious about the body suits now, they look perfect for cosplaying the Witch from Left4Dead (way too much flesh shown for my liking, but I'd still like to cosplay her)
